Title: Upcoming horror movies of note (not OT)
Post by: Midnite on October 24, 2004, 11:20:15 PM
The weeks preceding Halloween are always a treat for horror movies fans.  Here's a list of the upcoming movies airing on TCM between now and the end of the month that DS ripped--, er, borrowed from, followed by a brief mention of the inspiration they provided:

Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde (1932)
TCM Sunday 7:15 p.m. Pacific / 10:15 p.m. Eastern

Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde (1920)
TCM Sunday 9 p.m. Pacific / Monday 12 a.m. Eastern

Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde (1941)
TCM Sunday 11 p.m. Pacific / Monday 2 a.m. Eastern

     The Cyrus Longworth/John Yaeger storyline

The Wolf Man (1941)
TCM Monday 7:45 p.m. Pacific / 10:45 p.m. Eastern

Provided numerous ideas for DS, not the least of which is the wolf's head cane that Larry Talbot carried

Frankenstein (1931)
TCM Monday 10:15 p.m. Pacific / Tuesday 1:15 a.m. Eastern

     The Adam storyline

Bride of Frankenstein (1935)
TCM Monday 11:30 p.m. Pacific / Tuesday 2:30 a.m. Eastern

     The Eve story

The Beast With Five Fingers (1946)
TCM Friday 6:15 p.m. Pacific / 9:15 p.m. Eastern

Barnabas' revenge using a disembodied hand

I Walked With a Zombie (1943)
TCM Sunday 5 a.m. Pacific / 8 a.m. Eastern

     Quentin as zombie story

Enjoy!

(Unfortunately, no HoDS or NoDS this year.  :()

Thanks for the heads-up, Midnite.   ;)

p.s. Love the floating ghostie guys, but for some reason it keeps floating around the posting box - thing when I'm typing... like it's spying on me or something. Hey - you don't scare me, ghost...shoo!  lol

[sorry - blame it on alcohol-based cold meds...grumble.  :P  ::)]   ;D

Thanks Midnite!
That's one of the reasons why I love this time of year, they always seem to air the good horror shows!
