It's good to read that Elementary is continuing to do well in the ratings despite having a new series as its lead in. Apparently Angel From Hell is a hit.
-
It's pretty good and pretty humorous. And I still love Elementary (even if all my predictions have been incorrect, lol).
-
It's nice to see that Elementary is still holding steady despite the fact that AFH tanked pretty quickly and it had a rerun as a lead in, and How To Get Away With Murder returned (though HTGAWM came in #3 in the time slot in the Fast Overnights, which is quite a shock). In fact, Elementary was #1 in viewership in its time slot.
-
What's AFH, MB?
-
Oh, Angel From Hell. Duh.
-
This week Elementary was once again #1 in viewership in its timeslot, besting #2 by 700,000 viewers in the Fast Overnights.
-
This week it was not only nice to see that Elementary was still #1 in its timeslot, but its ratings went up, and it bested #2 by 800,000 viewers in the Fast Overnights.
-
Awesome, and thanks for the update, MB.
-
And this week it was not only nice to see that Elementary was still #1 in its timeslot, but it bested #2 by 900,000 viewers in the Fast Overnights.
-
And once again Elementary was #1 in its timeslot, though it bested #2 by 700,000 viewers in the Fast Overnights. But a good reason for the dip is probably that How To Get Away With Murder ran its season finale...
-
And much to my horror they are moving it to Sunday night. I could just cry, [snow_cry] [easter_cry] lol.

And much to my horror they are moving it to Sunday night. I could just cry, [snow_cry] [easter_cry] lol.
I hope that's not because you won't be able to watch it anymore. Although, if getting the DVDs isn't in play, you could hopefully catch what you might miss during rerun season...
For me it's moving from being opposite one show that I like (How To Get Away With Murder) to being opposite another show that I like (Quantico). But that's why the DVR was invented. [b003]
-
Sunday nights on CBS always seem to get extended by sports games and usually messes up the timing sequence for recording - if I even remember to look to see if games are on. I'd rather watch it on demand than having it cut into three segments. That's the biggest part of it, anyway. And then there's the inevitable consequences of moving a show around, like losing viewers and getting cancelled. [easter_angry]
-
Because it's done so well so far this season, it would have to do absolutely dreadfully on Sunday to get canceled. But of course, CBS hopes it will do even better on Sunday (which is often the night when the most people watch TV) and help their Sunday ratings.
I suppose we shall see what happens. Though the first hint won't come until the 21st after the first Sunday ep has run...
-
Just a reminder:
WHAT TO WATCH TONIGHT March 20, 2016
Fox's Live Passion, Elementary Moves, Ice Age and More (http://tvline.com/what-to-watch/)
And, dom, I see in the comments section that others share your pain...
-
I remembered to cue the two following shows at least. [snow_cheesy]
-
Upon moving to Sunday, not only did Elementary hold onto its Thursdays' viewership numbers, it retained its 1st place finish in its timeslot (despite being delayed more than 30 minutes in the ET/CT time periods), and it did so by besting #2 by 2.1 million viewers in the Fast Overnights.
-
Hooray!
-
CBS has renewed Elementary - yay!! [easter_grin]
-
[pointing-up] Excellent news, dom - thanks so much for sharing it! [easter_smiley] But no shock there - especially after it did so well this past Sunday. [wink2]
I've been so busy that I haven't had the chance to check out any entertainment news today. It'll be very interesting once I get to see what the renewal articles are saying...
-
CBS has gone stark raving mad - you'll see. [snow_wink]
-
JLM is certainly keeping up the good work - he seemed especially good last night. There is a two hour episode coming up in two weeks, I believe, that I am really looking forward to. I loved him in Shadows12. Did he have any cut scenes that showed up on the DVD?
And he's on board for Trainspotting II.
-
Well, I guess the headline says it all:
Ratings: Elementary, Game Night Only Shows to Hold Steady on Easter (http://tvline.com/2016/03/28/elementary-season-4-ratings-easter-sunday/)
And it's interesting that both those shows are on opposite each other. Though Elementary, which was once again #1 in its time period, bested #2 by 1.9 million viewers in the Fast Overnights, which was slightly less than last week - but it's still more that it was besting #2 on Thursdays.
When next season's schedule comes out (usually sometime in May), it'll be interesting to see ifElementary stays on Sunday, moves back to Thursday, or possibly even gets put somewhere else...

-
Last night's double feature was awesome - good crime drama and good personal drama.
-
And ratings-wise Elementary continues to do well on Sunday. Its 9pm showing wasn't #1 in its time period (because NBC threw a new Little Big Shots against it), but according to the article I read it was on a par with what The Good Wife does in the period (and even better than what Elementary has been doing at 10), and its 10pm showing remained #1 in its time period, besting #2 by 1.3 million viewers in the Fast Overnights.

Even though Elementary dipped last night as far as its demo goes, it still managed to hold the #1 position in its time period, besting #2 by 700,000 viewers in the Fast Overnights...

-
The season finale of Elementary held on at #1 in its time period, besting #2 by 2 million viewers in the Fast Overnights...
When the schedule for next season comes out next week, it will be quite interesting to see if CBS keeps the show on Sundays, if they move it back to Thurdays, or if they move it somewhere else...

Elementary is staying put on Sundays:
CBS' Fall Schedule (http://tvline.com/2016/05/18/cbs-fall-tv-schedule-2016/)
-
Too bad.
And thanks for the link.
-
I would have preferred another night for the same reason that you don't like Sundays: never knowing how long it might be delayed or if it'll even be on when football or golf run long. But I suppose CBS' thinking is that it does as well on Sundays as it did on Thursdays, and considering they've often had problems with Sundays at 10et/9ct, Elementary seems like a good fit for them there.
-
I will follow it to whichever night it airs, with minimal grumbling. [ghost_wink]

Where to find Natalie Dormer, ... — apart from ‘Game of Thrones’ (http://zap2it.com/2016/05/where-to-find-natalie-dormer-lena-headey-michiel-huisman-apart-from-game-of-thrones/)
Her arc on Elementary is spotlighted. And I love how Skerlock/JLM is framed in the mirror.

Thanks, MB.
Fellow cousins, a heads-up - The highlighted new shows (mostly) take you to new Fox shows, not the CBS show you are hoping to read about.
-
Seems like they added more shows to the slideshow but didn't update the links in the older articles. [ghost_rolleyes]
