I've been thinking about doing an episode by episode of 1897 as it aired, but trying to do it as it happened originally without Barnabas there. Sound like a good idea?

Sounds very interesting! Though the mind boggles at how to work around some parts of the story because Barnabas' presence/interference directly managed to muck up so many events! [ghost_rolleyes] It would be fascinating to see what you could come up with. [ghost_wink]

Go for it, Joeytrom! I actually did something like that for fun. I wrote a whole synopsis about what originally happened before Barnabas went back in time to prevent it. Of course, there was no Barnabas, no Julia, no Angelique. There wasn't even a Petofi (since there was no Barnabas to encourage Magda to find a cure for Quentin). The events unfolded rather quickly, culminating in the death of Quentin and Beth and the family covering it up; I won't provide any details so you can compose your own version. Do it! It's fun! If you do, let me know what you came up with we can compare.

There are probably at least three variations on what happened in 1897. The first being how things originally happened. The second, altered by the actions of Barnabas, Angelique, Julia etc. The third would also take into consideration how the presence of Barnabas, Julia and Eliot affected both 1840 and 1897.
