Hi Cassandra, it was great meeting you! You are such a cutie-pie! Thanks for sharing the great photos!
Trip, Eric Gag me--is that with or without a spoon? With that moniker and my putz, I just hope he does well with his skill at pitching those balls (excuse the bizarre grin that just twisted across my face).
This year's festival was a great time. There was a wedding party sharing the hotel with us, which gave an extra bizarre twist to the proceedings--I'll spare you all my catty comments about wedding kulchur.
My personal favorite "event" was Darren's presentation of the NoDS footage. I guess if no one else runs a thread on this, I will start one. I just have to say that the seance sequence from NoDS was probably the best thing Dan Curtis ever did in his entire career, so I can understand the anguish he must have felt when the MGM bosses made him remove it. I'll spare you the thoughts I had upon learning that one MGM boss made a point of saying he hated Grayson Hall and wanted her completely cut from the film. At least she got her revenge when SHE toured to promote it, in full Carlotta drag! oh to have been a fly upon that wall.

Cassandra,
The photos are great! Thanks for posting them.
Except for the Brooklyn Fest, when I somehow managed to meet up with Julia99, Nancybe, Bette, and Cassandra, this was the first time that I attended a Fest and spent a significant amount of time hanging out with other fans..
I was incredibly fortunate to be reacquainted with the above four, as well as meeting Gothick (GO THICK!), John from SC, Dom, ProfStokes, Midnite, Nancy, and others in person for the first time. In the past, I've always kept to myself at Fests, so it was terrific to discover so many fun, friendly, fellow fans. Whether we were opening a Mexican restaurant or closing a hotel bar, we all had a great time that extended beyond the official Fest activities.
Take care,
Jean-Claude (the poster formerly known as John)

Awww, thanks Steve! She really enjoyed herself!
I only wish the fest lasted a little longer. It went so fast!!
i notice Cassandra you have a DS bag Was there a lot to buy?
Hi Jen, I bought that bag at last years fest and it really came in handy both times! People were stopping me to ask me where I purchased it. I didn't see any this year for sale though. I didn't purchase too much this year but did get a few books and the bag was perfect for holding things like that. I left the pocket book upstairs and just threw everything I needed into that bag!
Thank you all for the nice comments on the photo's. After last years disaster I made sure I bought along a decent camera this time!

This year's festival was a great time. There was a wedding party sharing the hotel with us, which gave an extra bizarre twist to the proceedings--I'll spare you all my catty comments about wedding kulchur.
And what a rowdy group they were too!! The whole group of them were in the restaurant/bar on Friday night and you couldn't even hear yourself think they were so loud! My poor friend went to go use the men's room then came back all white faced saying that one from the group was in there vomiting all over the place! Then, the next thing you know we hear glass shattering out in the hall. One of them dropped a beer bottle on the floor. That poor bartender had his hands full that night!
My personal favorite "event" was Darren's presentation of the NoDS footage.
Me too Gothick! I really enjoyed watching the scenes from the movie that had never been seen before. Darren did a great job with this and hopefully one day, we'll be able to see the full version of the movie.

What great pics! Many thanks for posting them. Makes me wish I'd been able to attend. I was at Horrorfind in Baltimore that weekend -- and I really did have a blast (two tires' worth; one in my car on the way up to meet Beth Massie, and one in Beth's van on the way back, just outside of DC; ah, such adventures). Got absolutely no complaints about Horrorfind -- in fact, it was quite fantastic -- but it's a pity that travel budgets and timing of cons don't allow for attending more of them more frequently.

I just found these here. I just wanted to say great pics everyone! It's nice to match faces to the names. I'm really hoping I can manage to attend the 40th anniversary Fest next year. I've never been to one and have always wanted to go.
