Right now, it says I have 17 posts, but I REALLY HAVE 21 posts!! ::) Why is that? ??? Somebody please let me know. I'm just curious... ::)

This raised my curiosity and I had to check!! The profile clearly lists 17 posts, but if one brings up the posts, there are actually 22 of them! That really seems weird.

To solve the mystery, just be mindful of your posts as well as the totals. ;)

Nope, I can't figure out the mystery either.
Maybe you have 17 posts in REGULAR time, and 21 in PARALLEL time.
Yeah, that must be it. ;D

Sally, I counted 5 of your posts that were made on the testing board.

Apparently it went unnoticed that a cousin recently posted only once, and it was on this board, yet their posting total remained at 0. ;)

Was it always that way or is this since the new setup?

The June 1st switch to the new system didn't introduce the feature. The ability to not count posts made on certain boards has always been a feature of both YaBB SP (our first) and YaBB SE (our second) - and it's still a feature in SMF (which is sort of a next-generation version of YaBB SE).

There was a limit on smileys in the past-- it was 20, which was still a lot-- but there isn't right now.

The two categories that you mention don't scroll higher because those are the first entries in them. [hall2_wink]
