Title: on david collins
Post by: michael c on July 06, 2004, 12:40:20 AM
a thought about david collins...the poor lad had a pheonix for a mother,a witch for a stepmother,a vampire for a cousin,a grandious alchoholic who may or may not have been his father(remember burke and laura), and two seriously foxy hairpiece wearing governesses who disappeared under unusual circumstances.what is david up to today? :P

Well, in the fanfic in my head (maybe one day to be put down on paper) David grew up, married, came into his inheritance and had a son;  one Nelson Christopher Collins. ;)

David had a DNA test and found out that neither Roger nor Burke was his father. His inheritance hinged on him officially being a Collins. When Collins family lawyer, Frank Garner learned the news, he conveniently found a codicill to Liz's will that specifically addressed such an event. David was cut out of the will. At first saddened by the news, David eventually decided to leave Collinwood and Maine forever. To this day, he lives with his wife somewhere in the mountains of New Mexico.

That's a fascinating theory, Miss Winthrop! Although, it's sad to think that he'd be separated (or chose to separate himself) from the family he grew to love...sigh. :-
But that's what's great about speculating on the future of the Collins clan--the possibilities are limitless...   :D

David grew up bacame Master of Collinwood, married his  college sweetheart, took over the Cannery and made more money than his father ever did... had an even dozen children, the eldest being a daughter he named Josette,  his other children were named after his favorite cousins and ancesters... yes even a Barnabas and Quentin Collins...Collinwood was always a busy place, the ghosts didn't have a chance with so many Collins kids running around! so they left to live in the Old House for some peace and quiet.    :D
