Title: Test / Samsung BluRay
Post by: Patti Feinberg on May 03, 2015, 04:41:15 AM
Okay, ... from Walmart. It's a Samsung BD-H6500.

'Built in wi-fi'.....is this just picking up my home wi-fi? Cuz if so, it's sooooo slow, that my son can't usually do the school's homework site. For real, he gets a message saying, "Your internet connection is too slow."
"UHD 4k upscaling"....is this contagious? :)
USB port....is that to hook up if I have Netflix on my computer?
Ethernet connection for digital???
Come on....I don't need it to give me a pedi, just to play movies.
DVDR...isn't that DVD recording? Could I record 'something' on my...blu-ray???
Dolby digital plus...that's if you have a sound system, right? My husband had(s) one, but none of us (except him) like it.

PLEASE DON'T DELETE..I WILL TELL YOU WHEN I FIGURE OUT HOW I'M DOING.

Since I don't have PS4, and, just want to watch movies, does anyone have 'history' wit either the
Panasonic DMP - BD91
or
Sony BDP S1500 WIRED 2D Blu Ray. 2D in today's world sounds very old.
or
Sony S5500 with 'Trilumunous Technology'?? (On Amazon, this is $68.25). It's streaming? (But, I can still play my DVDs, right?)

Also, am I going to need new 'attachments' (from blu ray to my nice new 42" FLAT SCREEN!!!! ??

If someone can suggest a new blu ray player, hopefully not more than $75, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,
Patti

The $68 Sony was refurb., no thanks.

Tried a hundred ways to find out what cables I'll need for Panasonic; hope it'll work, if not, Walmarts not far.

The Panasonic was $70, got the 2 yr (very good sounding, and I read it) warranty.
