Hmmm... Nothing like that is there now.

I suppose it was some sort of a temporary glitch in the MySQL database...

But thanks for reporting it.  :)

MB, now it's Friday a.m., I'm at work (different IP) and still there.

Patti,

the error is showing up in the forum's error log:

Code: [Select]
Patti : 68.38.168.175 : Today at 08:22:34am
/dsb05/index.php?board=;action=stats
Database Error: You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'WHERE ID_BOARD <> 35 AND ID_BOARD <> 36 AS b ON (b.ID_CAT=c.ID_

but I'm not receiving it when I go to the stats page. In fact, the only people who have received it are you, jennifer, Rebelbelle and one guest (though I think MsCriseyde might have gotten it either yesterday or the day before and I deleted the error from the log during routine cleanup because, like I said, I figured it was just a temporary glitch).  :-

Strange - but I'll look into it...

I did get the error a day or so ago, but I didn't pay much attention to it. Figured it was a temporary thing and not worth bugging anyone over yet.  ;)

In case it matters, it's still doing this, both at home and work.

Yes, we know. Over the past two days the error has shown up for both you and coteriemc. But the thing is, you've been the only two - and I've checked line 530 in the script and, contrary to what the error report says, there is no "error in" the "SQL syntax."  :-   And what's REALLY weird is that nowhere in the script does anything remotely resembling the
Code: [Select]
WHERE ID_BOARD <> 35 AND ID_BOARD <> 36 AS b ON (b.ID_CAT=c.ID_even exist!  :o  And the REALLY REALLY REALLY WEIRD thing is that the forum currently only has 34 boards - there are no board ids 35 and 36!!!!  [shockeyes]

The problem, whatever it is, has got to be in the way something about your browsers are interacting with the MySQL database. But for the life of me I have no idea what it can be.  :(  So maybe we should just chalk this up to the forum's resident ghost  [ghost]  who, it would seem, just loves to pull inexplicable pranks on certain members. The members receiving this error just happen to be the "lucky" ones this time around.  [wink2]

Actually MB, I've checked it both at home (Verizon DSL) and at work (Comcast Cable) and it's still like above.

(This after the 5/1 modifications.)

As I'd mentioned, the database error seems to be happening for you because of something on your end, most probably the way your browser is interacting with the scripts that access the MySQL server. It is VERY odd that it's happening to you both at home and at work (it's even odder that the error only comes up for a handful of people), but none of the changes I've recently made to the stats section would have solved that.

Perhaps the switch to the new system will solve it. But perhaps not. So, you might have to prepare yourself to receive that error from now on whenever you check out the stats section.  :(
