I have read in some places, like the Dark Shadows Companion, that just prior to Alexandra Moltke's leaving DS, Ron Sproat had started to slant the story to reveal Vicky as Liz's illegitimate daughter.
Did I miss something in AM's final episodes where this occured? I have no memory of it at all.

I had always heard this as RS saying that they had planned on addressing Vicki's parentage, not that they had already started the arc. I had no idea they had started down that path. I, like you, don't recall anything on air that suggested this direction. I wish I were able to do some viewing to see if there is anything at all that might lead one to think that. I imagine the perfect time would have been when Vicki was readying to marry. Though by that time a reveal by Liz would have seemed a bit absurd.

Somewhere on YouTube is a barely 60-second clip of an interview with Joan Bennett. The interviewer asks her if Vicki was Elizabeth's daughter. Her answer is a resounding YES!
I think the first Big Finish audio play also makes this clear.
But I don't know if the OS writers ever planned on dealing with this topic.

At the first festival in Newark back in 1983, Ron Sproat said that they had planned to reveal that Elizabeth was Vicki's mother in an upcoming story. They were probably aware that Alexandra wanted out at this point and pulled back on the story. Sproat did not say who Vicki's father was going to be.

Here's (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hzdndt8OwIU) a link to the clip. Actually, it's only 15 seconds long!

Adorable. I saw this clip the other day for the first time - I loved it! What a good sport she was.
