Title: Get rid of "This Image is protected by Copyright"

Post by: Heather on August 07, 2005, 05:55:51 AM: I don't know about anyone else, but I for one am glad MB and the mods have it set up that one *cannot* download just any image on this forum. I wouldn't have felt safe sharing most of the pics I've shared otherwise. Just referencing to some artwork I've posted in the past by hotlinking it from my own site...anything to save MB some bandwidth, ya know... ;)

I know the pics on the caption board, for instance, in which cousins have posted captures via attaching/uploading them from their hard drive, are downloadable for those logged in...I'm a-okay with that (if I didn't explain/word that right, feel free to get out the whip MB...). ;D :-*

As a forum administrator myself, I feel the need to speak. XD

The thing is, forums aren't really a democracy. You can make suggestions to help make the forums better as a whole, but if the administrators disagree with your opinion, it is their prerogative to do whatever they want. Just because you demand a change does not mean that it will happen. Just because you disagree with their opinion, they won't change it to conform to your ideals of the perfect forum.

That doesn't answer the question. I asked HOW you disagreed, not whether you disagreed or not, which we have already agreed that you do. I can't continue this debate any longer without an actual answer to my question.

Obviously, the mods aren't going to change their rules... especially without a reason. The message is there for a purpose and that's their prerogative. And besides, there are simple ways around the whole anti-right-click thing anyway, so who cares.
