I believe I've dealt with Varietease, Darren.  If memory serves, I purchased a "Run across the river" poster from him a few years back.

Congrats on the arrangements going through for your presentation!  I'm really excited by the prospect of being able to attend.  I just hope the dates work for me this year.

Darren, I sold Evanhanley a couple of rare "curse of dark shadows" stills just under 2 years ago. very nice person, just can't remember his name right now.  (i think you emailed me about them too), he was very adamant that i would not make any copies of the stills, which i have kept my word and haven't.  Tborgxx is another heavy bidder when it comes to rare DS. and has out-bidded me before on items.  by the way...you have a very impressive website. -robert

Too bad you didn't make copies, because he doesn't respond to communications and won't scan photos either for $ or for trade for other rare photos.

A shame as he keeps winning one of a kind NODS stills and items, none of which are held by DCP or the studio and are crucial for the reconstruction of the lost scenes.

He also seems to have unlimited income which makes it impossible to win them.

My username on ebay is moviemandg-nods-restorer.

Thought I'd make it as plain as possible.

Iam sure "Evanhanley" knows the work you are doing Darren, really don't understand why he wouldn't answer any of your emails. you will be the first to know if i come across anything relating to either movie, that is rare. -robert

:D "evanhanley" may even be reading this!  If so, I really owe "evan" a BIG thank you... I have saved, possibly, thousands of dollars due to being outbid by "evan."  But, hey, that's okay; "evan" has a right to bid whatever... and I'm not bitter!

 >:( I didn't even try for the "16 Magazine" files on David Henesy, Michael Stroka, and Night of Dark Shadows which were up recently... tho, they did look tempting!  I believe "evan" won all three for a total around $1,000.  I wish "evan" would share, but it's not up to me, obviously!

6. The negative discussion of other DS forums is to be avoided. In other words, no finger pointing.

;D I wasn't meanin' to be negative.  "evan" has a right to do as he/she wants... anyway, I did get this one today!  It's supposed to be in excellent condition... You can see by the cover what got Roger, Burk & Sam acting all that in 1956!

"I will not tolerate snide remarks!"

That wasn't at all appreciated.

In addition, I edited your last message, and you can consider this a warning.  I guess I wasn't clear enough about no finger pointing, but please stop ridiculing other fans and what they do on other venues.

Ebay, btw, has its own feedback forum for handling issues with buyers and sellers.   This isn't the place for it.

 8) You have a GREAT forum & I'd love to be a part of it forever!  Honestly, I looked at my posts and can't even think what was edited out... I do think y'all do a superb job on this site & it must be hard work to keep everything so nice!

:) I do a lot of bidding on eBay (as some of you know!) and don't let being outbid bother me at all.  If I'm outbid at the last moment, so be it -- I think that's fine.  Like eBay says, you bid as high as what you'll pay.  That's fine.

I see that a lot of people end their posts with "quotes" -- some of my favorite quotes are "You can't keep the jet set down," "We shall never forget any of them," & "I will not tolerate snide remarks."  I thought it would be fun to end each of my posts with a DS quote... but, I can see that this was not such a good idea.  I think that fell really flat, sorry...

;D Anyway, I appriciate the warning... I think all of you who run the forum & all of you posters are pretty terrific!  I'll be a little "shy" for awhile, now, but thank you always for the hours of reading fun!
