Title: Report to Moderator
Post by: Josette on January 26, 2004, 07:20:16 AM
There's a new choice to click on in each post and I was wondering what it's for.  I thought of clicking it to see what would happen, but I was afraid it might automatically send a message to you, perhaps indicating that something was wrong with that post, so I didn't want to try it.

I think you've probably guessed it exactly, Josette.......looks like a way to notify the moderator that something's been posted that s/he should see right away.

Somehow, I don't think we're going to need that around here.  As everyone knows, OUR moderators never sleep and never leave their computers.  :D

You'll see differences between this forum and the original.  For one thing, the old forum is YaBB SE version 1.5.4, and this one was updated to 1.5.5.  Secondly, several mods that had been added to the original forum were not carried over in the effort to see what caused the problems on the original forum once it was moved to the new web host.  Finally, some of the settings are different.

Post reporting is an option that was available on the earlier forum version but was disabled because we didn't feel it was necessary.  So, report to moderator is showing up now simply because MB hasn't disabled the setting.  But we can assure everyone that the mods are continuing to check all posts in a timely manner.

(Rainey...I had to click on report to mod on YOUR post.)

It was exactly as you said; and if Midnite & MB weren't even more busy than ususal, I WOULD'VE DROPPED A DIME ON YOU BABY!!!

(Gimme a break....THIRD 'delayed opening' with 6-10" of snow due tomorrow night ::) )
