Many of us grew up watching Dark Shadows back in the sixties. We've just lost another wonderful part of that era. Bob Keeshan, aka Captain Kangaroo, passed away at age 76 after a long illness. While I was visiting Collinwood and watching Vicki, David, Maggie, Carolyn, Burke, Mrs. Stoddard, et. al., I was also visiting the Treasure House with the Captain, Mr. Green Jeans, Bunny Rabbit, Mr. Moose, Grandfather Clock and the Magic Drawing Board. Even now I can still hum that theme song. I'm going to miss him.
Captain Kangaroo (and also Clarabelle the Clown) - RIP.

What a great show the Captain had. I remember the Magic Drawing Board gave me a few strange nightmares. Not bad nightmares, just strange.
RIP Bob Keeshan

I was sadden by the passing of "The Captain". He has a special place in my heart. It was the show I watched as a tyke. My Uncle who was more like a grandfather to me would watch with me when he was home. He was in the Navy and lived with us when not out to sea. It is so sad to see so many of the older icons slip away.
