On CE/A, Cassandra :-* has a cool b-day greeting to Connie.
Can someone show me ALL the coding; I tried to spiff up my greeting....uh....I had to par it down.
I wanna be able to do more......
Can some mod cut/paste/whatever the message so I can see the codes in order (with various smilies, etc)?
Thanks
Patti

As we've mentioned, all anyone needs to do to see how someone else has used the forum's YaBBC codes is quote that post to reveal its secrets. If after doing that anyone has a question about a specific code, we'd be more than happy to provide an explanation or point them to an already posted one. ;)

Well, the blinking smiles...and...I can do marquee colors right :-[

Practice makes perfect, Patti. Don't give up and don't be discouraged. My birthday message to Maria Merriweather took me a long time to get right. Some of us are naturals at this kind of thing and some of us are not. (Count me in the nots, lol). Your interest in wanting to learn it and not hesitating to ask about it is commendable. And when you do ask you're helping others who may not ask but would like to learn as well. Don't even think about being embarrassed! :)

Well, the blinking smiles...
Do you mean the sun? She surrounded it with the yabb code for shadow, but it always blinks, so I don't understand. :-
and...I can do marquee colors right :-[
Again I'm assuming you're talking about shadow code. Any color should work with it as long as you type its correct code or name.
Check out the custom colors and more recent glow/shadow topics. There probably isn't anything we can teach you about either that isn't in those topics.

Hmmm...marquee code is considered to be codes that makes text or images move across the screen:
[move]text and/or image[/move] in YaBBC,
or
<marquee>text and/or image</marquee> in HTML
Like Midnite, I'm assuming, though, that you mean something else? Or no? ;)

Okay, again on CE/A, again Cassandra's cool b-day greeting to Chas D Tate.
I wanted to copy/paste, to put here, but it said protected image.
Large sunshine faces, marquee, different font.
Could someone break it down??
Thanks.
Patti
Sorry MB, just re-read yours above.
Okay, I can see the coding, but is there somewhere/way I can take it off where it is & play around with it?
Also, part of the code says (and hey, I'll try it here)
[sun]
Where is sun (and are there others?

Um, you copy and paste it to here. That's why the Testing board description says, "Please keep all test posting, posting questions/comments, and general Forums questions/comments to this board. Also, look here for forum announcements and details regarding upgrades/modifications"
Where is sun (and are there others?
Patti, are you saying you don't know how to access the additional smilies? How can that be, since I remember answering your questions about using the smiley popup screen? But in case it has slipped your mind, under the 18 yellow smilies is a link called [Get More].

Patti, when you say that you see the coding, I'm assuming you clicked on "quote" and the message being quoted appears with all of the coding.
You can copy the coding from the quote in the reply box and then play around with it.
