I have been watching my DVD of Dark Shadows and I am finally to a point to episodes I have never seen before.
I am at the 1795 Storyline. And I am loving it. Oh my god. I wish I would have seen this shows before.
I love it all. Vicki reaction to Jermiah gets me the most. I hated the new Burke. He really got on my nerves and was glad he died. >:D But I totally understood Vicik's reaction and I love it.

Hi Gianni,
1795 was my favorite storyline out of them all. Watching this part of the story was really what got me hooked on DS so many years ago. It's a great storyline and since this is your first time seeing it you'll be in for many more suprises too!
Im with you on the second Burke also and much preferred Mitch Ryan over Anthony George in that role. However, I thought that A.G. fit right into the role of Jeremiah and I liked him much better in that role.
Happy viewing and keep watching, the best is yet to come! ;)

I just finished watching the 1795 storyline tonight. The last 15 shows were awesome. I enjoyed it highly.
When I first started to watch Dark Shadows I was 16 in 1996. I read about Dark Shadows (I am huge fan of daytime drama) and only got 2 shows of Dark Shadows at my cousins house. At the time my cable company didnt carry Sci-Fi. But what I read and what I saw I ask my mother for Christimas that year to start my collection of Dark Shadows Video Tapes. 1996-1999 I only watch Introuction To Jason McGuire to Barnabas bites Carolyn.
When the DVD came out I brought each one, waiting for a time that I had enough that I hadnt seen before to start watching.
So for the last 6 weeks, I have watch 210-462 (So Far) and amazed how much more supernatural elements were being played out in the 1795 storyline.
Everytime the world Vampire Was Used I felt like I was hearing a curse word. Because I was like Oh My God They said Vampire.
I am excited as well to get into the 1968 storylines as well.
;D ;D

Isn't it funny that prior to 1795, the characters practically fell over themselves trying NOT to say the word vampire?
And you're right, Gianni. Once they did start actually using the word, they did make it sound like a curse word. And I suppose it was, in a way - since it was a curse that led to the creation of the show's first vampire...
Glad you enjoyed 1795 so much. It really is fabulous. I think it holds up against anything on television today.
