According to Variety.com, Curtis & the WB Network are very close to inking a deal for a pilot.
Script may be by a Smallville writer.

Great.
Maybe Victoria Winters can be as vapid and one-dimensional as Lana Lang!

Wouldn't be much of a change from the original VW... ;D

What are you guys talking about?
I don't understand!

Okay, so VW can be even more vapid and one-dimensional--but with a groovy WB sensibility!
The WB screwed up Batman, The Lone Ranger & Tarzan. I doubt ol' Barnabas has much of a chance--if the pilot even goes to series...
-
Yes but The WB has had many hits over the years. That probably wouldnt have a chance in hell on other networks. Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Felicity, Dawson's Creek, Angel, 7th Heaven, Everwood, Charmed, and Smallville.

everyone will be 12 if its on the WB. . . .how did Julia get thru medical school by the age of 21.. you know cuz she'll be the "older woman"
-
Corey Feldman as Barnabas maybe . . . ????
Seriously though -
Can't wait to see the little green frog with the top hat and wolf's head cane . .

Actually, for a while, I've thought of Patrick Demsey as Barn, or Quentin.....

Tom Welling, Clark on Smallville, is actually 25, the age Barnabas should be.
Frid did a great job in the role, but he was a middle aged man playing a young man.
WB will cast the show with age appropriate
actors.
Maybe Angelique will be what she should be, a Black Island priestess.
In any event, a new DS will revive interest in the original & keep it on the air.
