The new pest is called Mimail.C, and it conforms to just about every convention of the mass-mailing virus rulebook.
The worm first appeared Friday morning and is spreading somewhat slowly at this point, although it has the potential to infect a large number of PCs

(Am I the only one who, purely for reasons of grammar, would instantly delete this e-mail after reading just that first sentence? :o Well, grammar plus the fact that I'm not a "lovely girl." (I'm merely lovely. ;)) But I'd never even get far enough down to notice the attachment!)

Thanks for that alert, Lovely One. Agree that I would delete the entire mess on sight. It boggles what's left of my mind that computer users STILL open random attachments like this. I guess part of the problem is folks using email handling software that opens the attachments automatically--really not a good idea.
I was bemused by the widget "bh" in that text. Was this supposed to be an inversion of "hb," a revolting shorthand for "husband" that's acquired a deplorably widespread currency on the Internet?

I'm a Mac user. Can you please explain what a virus is? ;D
