Title: CBS at 75
Post by: MsCriseyde on November 03, 2003, 05:29:15 AM
Watched bits and pieces of CBS at 75 tonight.

John Harkins (Horace Gladstone) showed up in a scene from Mary Tyler Moore as the priest as they bid a fond farewell to Chuckles.

Dennis Patrick (Paul Stoddard) showed up in a series of clips from Dallas centering on the Who Shot JR? storyline.

No sign of John Karlen at the table where the cast of Cagney and Lacey was seated, but I wasn't watching very closely, and I don't know what clip(s) were featured.

David Selby wasn't in the clip from Falcon Crest. I'm never watching CBS again.  >:(

It hasn't been on long, but saw "Scarecrow and Mrs. King" with Kate Jackson.

Oh the pain...

Michael McGuire [the head of Judah] got a good bit of air time, as did his speaking voice, as the attorney in the "Judging Amy" clip.

Me again, sorry.  A friend spotted another DS alum-- David Groh, who had a couple of small roles on DS, was in the "Rhoda" segment.

You know . . . people have been institutionalized for this sort of behavior.  :-*

I didn't know any of those.  However, just the night before we happened to have TV Land on and they were showing the Chuckles episode and I was wondering who the priest was - thought he seemed familiar!!

You know better than to even joke about such a thing. If I can't have a day off, no one else can.  [b003]
(The only excuse that might be good enough to get time off would be if you're dead - and even that's questionable.  ;D)

Actually, considering its DS, that's NO excuse!!!

Thanks,

Patti,,,,who's dead (tired)

Patti, I knew you were going to say that.

David Groh played a hangman's asst. when Vicki was on the gallows.  Also the one-armed ghost raised by Nicky Blair in '68.

Oh Gods, no wonder that one armed ghost's appendage looked so naggingly familiar.  I'd get a sort of familiar itch every time I played that episode. Same deal with the hunky hangman at Vicki's execution.

I always thought Groh was so delectably hairy and, well, generous on Rhoda.  (did you know she had a pagoda?)

beyond fried post Halloween G.

I would have caught more of it, but I was on the phone.  Should have hung up on the spot when I got the report that there was a Dukes of Hazzaed table

For those who think this is merely a joke, I would like to point out that, when faced with the choice of various studio tours on her last trip to LA, Sheenasma voted for Warner Bros. primarily because the Dukes filmed there, and she made a point of having her photo taken standing outside Cooter's garage. She claims this was to impress the grandkids, but I wouldn't be surprised to find the photo matted, framed, and hung in a prominent location in her living room.  ;D

I saw/heard on TV yesterday that a Dukes of Hazzard movie is in the works with Britney Spears being the leading candidate for consideration in the role of Daisey Duke. I can't remember if the male leads were cast, and if so, who they've chosen or are considering.
