Thanks Patti,

I'm not going anywhere special but I spent time with old friends Friday and Saturday night.  I'm going to take Monday off work and meet a very good friend for lunch and later my niece and I are going out for dinner.  She is the only family I have here in Arizona.  (She came out here to go to ASU and stayed when she was offered a job after Graduation.)  Most of my family is in Iowa and I'll see them over Christmas.  I will likely hear from all my brothers and sisters because even though I've lived away from home for twenty years we've always remained very close.  (I'm the youngest of seven)

After 44 years I realize the things that matter most are family, friends and good health.

Also, I do appreciate all my friends on this Board.

PS  - It's work related but I'm going to Seattle in November for a few days and I'll stay the weekend and take a Ferry to Canada. I've never been there and I'm really looking forward to it.

Thanks again to all for your good wishes.

I actually had a very good birthday.  My oldest niece,  Carolyn, who's 36, had her first child last night on my birthday.  They are both doing very well.  BTW Carolyn has an older brother, David and they were both born in 1967 when a certain Soap Opera was on with characters with those two names.  I know my sister and brother-in-law watched DS but I doubt their David and Carolyn were named after the characters on the show but who knows, their last name happens to be Barrett which of course is Nancy's last name.  Speaking of Nancy, does anyone know if the Leslie Barrett who was the main Judge during the 1795/6 plot is related to her, like maybe her father?

I'll tell you when I first moved to Arizona in my mid 20's I never believed I would one day be in my mid 40's.  Intellectually, I knew, God willing I would be but I never really believed it.  Oh...... to be 24 again.
