[It's up to the first poster to come up with a set up, and then each following post will either complete it or fill in the blank(s). And, as always, whoever posts the set up is certainly allowed to post their own completion/fill in as a follow up.]

Set-up:
Maggie was flabbergasted, not to mention agog, and three quarters of the way into utter apoplexy, when she heard the telltale sounds of an underground __________ beneath the mausoleum.... but when she thought about it, she realized it made perfect sense for it to be there!

(On the older Current Talk boards I've often mentioned that less fortunate Collins relatives live in the secret passages of Collinwood, and that's who keeps all the candles burning in them when we're all supposed to think no one has actually been in them. It's a theory, anyway. [snow_wink])
