Greetings!

Due to my obsessive-compulsive nature, I have a tendency to focus on the smallest of details in an episode.  One such moment that has always puzzled me was in a 1967 episode.  Julia encounters Dave Woodard doing research into the Collins family in the Collinwood study.  Their discussion focuses on Sarah Collins, whom Julia describes as "a little girl who left the scene" over 100 years ago.

I always found this choice of words odd, and rather slang-y for the usually formal style of DS.  I suspect that it might have been an ad-lib on GH's part, as she seemed to be reaching for the right phrase just before she said it.

Has anyone else noticed this?

 Yes indeed I did notice what the good doctor said, I wonder what she was thinking when she it... perhaps she wanted Dr. Dave to think she was slightly more hip to the jive?

Well unlike Julia, i get the sense Grayson was fairly hip to the scene. . .

Yeah, from what I've heard, Grayson was a pretty hip broad.  Maybe she was trying to inject a little of herself into the good doctor.  ;)

I'm sure Grayson was far more hip than Julia.  Too bad DC and Company didn't see fit to allow that side of GH to shine through.  Perhaps Julia could have gone out dancing at the Blue Whale with one of the Jennings boys.

I love that 1968 interview in which Grayson complained that Julia was such a damn "straight-ass"!

There *are* some wonderful moments where Grayson's own personality comes through in her performance as Julia, and I think this line must surely be one of them.  Thanks for mentioning it, John.

the other one .. is where Julia is talking to Carolyn I believe  .. about the 'divine' new antique shop. .and Julia drolly says  . ."it doesn't seem sooooo dEEVine. ."  That was Grayson . .
