Maybe he was Flora's husband.  1841 PT is so different from regular 1841 that it is possible.

Abner was probably the son of another of Joshua's cousins.

That sounds possible...could be. His portrait is in a mighty strange place in the house though.Maybe he wasn't a very important member of the collins family.

Someone correct me if Im wrong but I think his portrait is the one that's hanging on the wall right next to the playroom door in the West wing.
