I saw this piece online and although not quilted and quite as heavy as that that keeps maggie evans warm on cold collinsport nights it looked familiar...

although i doubt mags wears a "large waist" anything either.

although I doubt Maggie could afford a ninety-five dollar skirt with all those dime-tippers. [ghost_wink]

I don't think I've ever seen Maggie wearing a maxi.  She was always in the midi, and sometimes the mini, style.  But if she ever did wear a maxi, that would be it.

the reason I posted this is because it is very evocative of a much-discussed, well-worn maxi Maggie wears frequently on the series.


most of the time Maggie wore a mini. a midi comes to mid-calf.

Didn't Maggie wear a maxi in one of the Summer of '70 storyline's eps? Or was it a midi? Or maybe I'm confusing her with Carolyn.

I remember Carolyn wearing a Midi in 1970. I think it is in the picnic sequence.  Don't recall seeing Maggie in one though.

absolutely...


back in the day I actually posted an entire topic on the hemline drop of 1970. Maggie gets a couple of full-fledged maxis during the summer of 1970 episodes. Carolyn gets a midi, as mentioned, at the picnic sequence.

I recall at the time finding this drop to be quite visually jarring.
