Hi, all well i went to the Doc's yesterday and he
said i have to take the Physical Therapy before
the surgery. And we'll talk about that later on.
He also stated too that it will get the muscle
stronger in on the side the knee.
( Ps i have to call the hospital for appt to
Physcial Therapy! Love Anne :o :(

The road to recovery is sometimes long, isn't it?
Wishing you the best,
dom

Well, that seems to make sense. Physical therapy certainly sounds better than surgery! It's a shame it's not INSTEAD of the surgery, but presumably things will go better!! (I was lucky a few years ago to get the "instead of" - I thought I was going to have to have back surgery, but the neurosurgeon not only said I didn't need it, but that it wouldn't help - and sent me for PT). Good luck with all of it! :)

((((((((((((((Annie))))))))))))))))))
Maybe recovery after surgery won't be so long if other muscles are strengthened now...
-
Hi Annie,
I hope all goes well with your surgery. Im sure the doctor knows what he's doing and perhaps the physical therapy before the surgery will help it go more smoothly and you'll also recover more quickly after it.
My prayers will be with you and I hope you will be feeling better real soon.
love

Anne...we'll pray, and hopefully it will be an 'instead' of.

Oftentimes, Annie, the PT is a step to getting the surgery approved by your HMO or insurance company. Just be sure to let your PT know if it makes you worse. Been there done that on several occaisions.
Good idea too to be sure you have your authorizations in order prior to surgery as well. Some companies require you to get a second opinion.
One more tip: If they say they will be giving you anesthesia, ask for a spinal instead. They give you less of the drugs and you won't have to have an intubation tube (breathing tube in your throat).
Please take care and be well soon.
luv, victoria

I'm not sure how to react - I'm inclined to say "that's a shame," but just think how good it will be once it's all over!!! Good luck! :)
-
Annie, at least you'll be getting it over and done with pretty soon. And like everyone else has said, think of how much better off you'll be in the future.
I wish you lots of luck and my prayers will be with you.

Hello, all the date for surgery for the left knee
is Dec9th!! at 10:30am Love Anne :D
-
You did the right thing...get the appoinment the earliest you can get. You don't have to worry about it all that much. Like my operation for my heart..a week later it was done. :)
Then you just have physical therapy, and you'll be surprised at how well you've come along.
but...Do What The Doctor Says....this is very important. You will be better, just give it time.
You'll be in my prayers.

Hello everyone, just wanted to say the surgery
went well yesterday on Dec9th. Found Arthritis
in it which caused the pain.
Love Anne ;D
-
Annie...how are you at the computer?
Are you supposed to be up and about (or, should you be laying down and resting?) >:( (yes, I'm YO MAMA!)
Feel very, very good honey,
Patti
-
That's good, Anne! I hope you have a quick and smooth recovery and will soon be glad it was done! :)
P.S. I hope you got to tape DS and not miss any - Quentin's been in it lately!!
-
Anne, it's been almost a month.
Are you able to move around?
How's the pain?
What about the right knee (will it also need surgery)?
Love
Patti

Thanks!

Hi Midnite, when the topic is suppose to be kept
short , by someone replied to my post instead
of answering them by adding onto my post,
i usually send them a private message.
Thanks for mentioning it.

Hi everyone, i decided to get a second opinion
on my knee wasn't too happy with the first one.
Love Anne :-*
-
Good idea! If something isn't an emergency or really critical, it's always a good idea to have a second opinion. (I'm a bit confused, though - I thought you already had surgery?)
-
Hi all just went out of town yesterday for
my left knee and right the doc gave me some
medication to take. And will probably do a
MRI on them when i go in six weeks.
Love Anne ;D
-
Hi ya Sweetie.... (Wave, wave)
What? You've still got knee problems acting up??
I thought you had surgery to correct this. ???
Do you ever wonder why bother with doctors in general? In fact, do you ever wonder why bother waking up in the morning?? I certainly do.
Well anyway, I do hope your MRI gives SOME kind of useful information. (Ya know, I got very sick a couple of weeks ago and ended up in the hospital. They did a CT scan of my head ::) and it was negative. I take this to mean that there isn't anything there.) ;) (At least anything worth mentioning) It's obviously better that way.
Take care.
love
CLC :)

Hope this doesn't mess up your fest plans, Ann.
