Well, I have a job already, two jobs, but now, now I have been offered and accepted a position as a full-time reference librarian in an academic library.
I'm extremely psyched. It's in my hometown so I don't need to move. I know the people I'll be working with. It's the type of library work I want to be doing.
This, this is a very good thing. It is going to make the student loan folks, those nice people at Visa and Mastercard, assorted others--closer and dearer to my heart, and of course, me very, very happy.

				That's wonderful, Luciaphil! :D
Sincere congratulations,
dom

That's great news Luciaphil!  Congratulations.  Reference work is my favorite part of being a librarian.

Congratulations, Luciaphil!  It's very difficilt to find the job you want that's located where you want it.  I hope you thoroughly enjoy it.
As for those folks to whom you owe money, let them wait a bit longer and go out for a celebratory dinner in your own honor!
Love, Robin

Good for you!  You deserve it, you have worked very hard.
Congratulations!

Congratulations, Luciaphil.  I agree with Robin, I think you should go out and celebrate or at least splurge on something you enjoy.  Best of Luck!

Excellent!  I'm so happy for you.  [crowdhappy]  It sounds like a real sweet type of position.

Congratulations from another librarian, Luciaphil!  That sounds like a terrific job.  I spend most of my time as cataloguer in a membership/research library but put in stints as reference librarian from to time and love doing it, too.  Working in an academic library is IMO one of the best choices you can make.  Besides the perks of working in a collegial atmosphere, you should also have some measure of job security, which is a good thing to have in these economically challenging times!
So ... I raise my teacup to you in a librarian salute!  [read][hello][read]

Bravo, Luciaphil!  [hello]  I hope that you thoroughly enjoy your new job!

I saw this in today's newspaper. It is for the librarians in our midst.
PS. I hope this attachment comes thru Midnight. If not, let me know what I am doing wrong.
PPS: Thanx so much Midnight and Dom for your help. I just thought this article was
         a hoot!

It's an acceptable file size (82KB), as are jpegs, and you did upload the file successfully, but to get it to show up better it'll probably need some trimming.  I'll see what I can do.

			-
Okay, MB noticed that the file was saved as .JPG (rather than .jpg) and therefore may not have been recognized, so it's been renamed; also, it needed a lot of trimming but this was the best I could do for now, but hopefully it'll be more readable...
I hope this won't discourage you from posting attachments in the future.  You DID upload the image successfully and I'm sure your next attempt will go much more smoothly.

Here's an online article about the librarian action figure (with a fabulous image of the doll). The actual Seattle Times article is linked from this ad. I linked to the ad because the ad itself is a hoot! Love the "stats". LOL!
