Title: D. Selby in New Pic
Post by: Patti Feinberg on August 04, 2003, 01:15:44 PM
I vaguely remember within the last say 6 months, there being a post about David Selby in a role in a new movie. I sort of thought it was in the J. Lo/B. Affleck, but when I went to a synopsis of that movie, no D. Selby.
What pic is it that he's supposed to be in?

The movie he is in is called Surviving Christmas with Ben Affleck, not Jennifer Lopez. The movie was filmed earlier this year, but it's not supposed to be released until Christmas 2004. David's part is not a major one from what I've been told.

The delay has to do with Affleck having multiple films through different studios. They stagger the releases so that they're not competing with one another.

(The delay probably also has to do with Gigli being such a turkey.)

Patti,

He's in the movie. That's not a complete cast list, so it's not surprising that his name doesn't appear since it is a small role.

He filmed in Chicago in January when temperatures were in the single digits, and he went from location filming straight to West Virginia to work on Final Assault when it was in production in Charleston.

That info is from a source about as close to David as you can get, and she's been that close for 40 years.  ;)

Actually, I clicked on 'complete cast list' (but we know IMDB can sometimes be incomplete).

MSCRISEYDE....girl...gotta tell you...it makes it sound as if either:

a) MRS Selby is your sister

or

b) YOU'RE MRS. SELBY!

Umm, no. ;D

David's wife is very good about relaying information about his current projects, etc. to fanzines, fan sites, etc.

I don't know what else to tell you to convince you that he's in this film.  [8311]
Title: Any News on 'Surviving Christmas'?

Thanks to MsCryside's site, I remembered David Selby is due to be oogled, I mean seen in a movie titled, 'Surviving Christmas' in January 2004.

I checked IMBDs site, I hope no news is good news (meaning, it's still due out next month/Jan 04).

Has anyone heard anything?

Thanks,

Patti

I checked IMBDs site, I hope no news is good news (meaning, it's still due out next month/Jan 04).

At the time we were first going around about this, I mentioned that the movie was due out in Christmas 2004. That still hasn't changed, so you won't see it in theaters until some time around next November or December.

As I mentioned before, the delay in release has to do with staggering the release of Ben Affleck's various films through various studios so that they are not in competition with one another. This Christmas, Paycheck was released. Next Christmas, Surviving Christmas will be released.

In the meantime, some of David's other projects should be released in 2004.
