No problem! You can discover what each square does by passing your cursor over it and reading the bottom of your screen. B bolds, I italicizes, U underlines, S strikes a line through words, etc., and they affect only the text you put between them. To demonstrate making something bold, I'll click on the B, get 2 tags, insert your name with no spaces between them, and the result is Julia99.
The image tags are the 4th box in the 2nd row; put the url of an image between them to get the image to show up in your message.
To change the font size, click on the black A and put your text between the tags. You can change the size number to get these:
This is size 2.
This is size 3.
This is size 4.
This is size 5.
This is size 6.
etc.
This is the plain ol' Verdana font.
You can use more than one kind of tag for the same text, so don't forget to test out the colors at the same time; just make sure that each tag you use has a corresponding tag on the opposite end of your text. So are you ready now to experiment? Registered members can use the "preview" and "modify" features as many times as they want while playing.

No need to apologize! I've been wanting to test out the administrative "move" feature. It only took a couple of clicks... that was fun! (I'm easily entertained :D )

For me too, Patti, because that font is installed on my system.
[sssh] Wingdings is a Microsoft font-- do you suppose MB has it?

So, any font we have on our systems will work? Then, if others don't have it, presumably they won't get the effect. Back when MB used those weird ones, he told us to download them first.

No - and I don't exactly miss it because, not only had I never used it in Windows, but Linux comes with dozens of default fonts that aren't available for Windows. ;)

That's right. In order for people to see the font, it has to be installed on their computer. If not, then whatever you've written will display using one of the forum's default fonts, which are currently verdana, arial, helvetica and serif.

OpenType, TrueType and Adobe Type. Just right click and open the font, Patti.
