Title: Avatars & Pictures
Post by: Patti Feinberg on June 20, 2003, 07:39:23 PM
Just looking today (Fri), most of our pictures (including ones of ourselves, DS actors) plus avatars (see my TURTLE) look somewhat bleary...watery. Not the 'cartoon' ones though; they seem tight & strong.

Does anyone else notice it?

Patti

PS...from a different board...Midnite...your CHILD is a webmaster....hello?? I can barely get around on the 'puter, but your CHILD is a master.... :-[ :'(

Isn't that how it always goes, Patti?  My husband has worked in computers for 19 years but the first time he had to create a Powerpoint  project it was the Kid (11-years-old at the time!) who showed him how to do it!!! [lghy]

I also noticed that there was something different about the pictures.  My cat's eyes looked even redder and seem to be popping out.

Not sure about them looking blurry, but several of the avatars are larger. Some people were having trouble making changes to their profiles because they were receiving an error that the pictures they've chosen to use for their avatars were too large. I increased the size limit from 65X68 to 82X86 (same basic ratio, just a somewhat larger dimension). So, some avatars (mostly JPEGs, but a few GIFs) that are larger than 65X68 are now displaying with their real dimensions (for example, Bobubas' Gates of Hell now displays as 81X81) or as large as 82X86.

Afan...yours looks 'clean & clear'...wonder if it's cause:
a) it's new
b) smaller
 ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

Patti

No...because (no offense) Midnite's is new...and it may be clear...just sort of hard to see (think it's a rabbit in a CAGE...the caging making it difficult).

Could you let the bunny out of it's cage please & take a new pic ;)

thanks,

Patti

The other avatars I've made, including yours, were 65x68 pix, which was recommended at that time.  But since MB increased the maximum to 82x86, I made this latest one that size.

You're so funny, Patti.  It's a pity that Cyrus and Sabrina never let it out.  You'd think they didn't want a bunny running free on the set or something. ;)

Speaking of funny, a certain someone's new personal text under their new avatar is hysterically funny! [lol2]

Midnite's avater caption reads:
Quote
RT Bruno's coat - in PT it made a different choice

One must realize that if today's standards applied back then, Dan Curits Productions would've had to print a disclaimer in the credits during the Leviathan run,  stating that.....No bunnies or ranch poodles were harmed during the filming of this show! Oh, and werewolves too!  ;)

Always, Minja [deal2][/color]
