Today marks the 4000th day that the YaBB/SMF version of the Forum has been up and running!
It was certainly touch and go when we first switched to the YaBB SP version of the forum after VantageNet folded - mostly because back then our first host kept shutting us down for consuming too much bandwidth. [santa_sad] (Though we've certainly tried to forget. [santa_undecided]) But we finally worked out a lot of the kinks once we switched to the YaBB SE database system and then to SMF as they proved to be a much better systems and a much better fit for us. In fact, just the other day the system was upgraded to SMF 2.0.3 without any problems whatsoever. And on that day I also mentioned to Midnite and dom that SMF developers are already working on SMF 2.1, so who knows what types of new features might be in the forum's future?
But, of course, nothing would be possible without all of you and your support (and your continued patience whenever we try to sort out the inevitable bugs [santa_wink]). Thanks for making these 4000 days of running this incarnation of the forum as enjoyable as they've been for us. And an even bigger thank you for your continued support - for over 14 years already! - of the forum in all its various incarnations. We could have never reached these milestones without all of you. [santa_thumb] And hopefully even more exciting days are to come! [santa_smiley]
