In the new 2012 movie, who is Mrs. Johnson played by?
Why is she a doddering oooolllllddd woman?

mrs. johnson was played by an actress named "ray shirley"...


the name "ray", combined with the actress's somewhat masculine appearance, lead to some speculation that it was perhaps a man playing the character. but that appears to be untrue.

Also, there is very little information available about her. Imdb only lists one other film for her and she's an American.

She's gotta 'be somebody'.

She seems somewhat familiar; though I do not believe she was in original ('66-'71) series.

The only other film credit listed for her is a movie that I've never heard of, let alone seen. Ms. Shirley played "Woman with Poodle" in Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging.

Has anyone seen it?

I guess in Shirley's case it wasn't who she blew, it's who she knew. (Well, one would hope so, anyway.)

It would certainly be interesting, but I don't know about that. But she was definitely a hoot in the film. I still laugh just thinking about Mrs. Johnson zooming by on the riding lawnmower and helping Willie with the coffin.
