Title: G'Nite, Q-Boy
Post by: Gerard on May 23, 2003, 01:07:01 PM
I got home this morning from an early workout at the gym (I was there at 5:00 a.m., heaven help me) and turned on the TV and what was on TV-Land but not only The Waltons, but the episode with David Selby guest-starring.  He plays Joshua Williams, a college art professor who falls for Mama Olivia Walton when she takes one of his adult courses.  Since it was shot just a coupla years after DS went off the air, he still looked like Quentin Collins (with shorter hair).  Indeed, whenever I see that episode, I always imagine that he really is Quentin - Joshua Williams is just one of the many personas he had to take during all those decades cavorting around the country and the world, hopelessly seeking his Amanada until his last persona of Grant Douglas.  Too bad Olivia Walton didn't go for his wiles; she woulda been a much better choice than Olivia Corey, but then I think Quentin would've eventually becomed bored living on that mountain surrounded by a gazillion kids.

What's ironic, Jennifer, was that he woulda been closer in age to Grandma Walton.  Would good, ol' Zeke Walton have stood a chance of keeping Esther should Joshua/Quentin have made a play for her?

I've got some screen grabs from Selby's episode of The Waltons on my site. These were made on someone else's pc quite some time ago when I had nary a clue what I was doing. Some would say this is still the case.  ;D

Click here for a direct link. (http://www.ldrservicesonline.com/davidselbysite/photogallery/waltons.htm)

Contrary to rumor, however, I have no photos or media clippings related to David's most recent project -- jury duty.  ;D

Wow, I don't think I ever watched one single episode of The Waltons in my life but I wish I saw that one.  I love the baby face on him too!

Well, you could have fooled me cause the pictures came out great! [thumb]

I also loved the line that said "Joshua Williams had the dubious distinction of being the only character during the entire course of the series to have kissed Olivia Walton aside from her husband."   Well who can blame the woman!![idontknow]
Thanks for posting this!

Your site is always great as usual!  Loved the pic of David on the Waltons.  No matter what that man does, or what kind of hairstyle he has, he always look great!

Thank you!

Deb :)
