Julia doesn't appear at her best in this episode. She's in danger of losing her welcome at Collinwood for scaring David.

Great line by Burke: Maybe Julia Hoffman spends so much time at the Old House because she has a mad crush on Barnabas Collins.

Somehow Sarah knows that David saw her in his crystal ball. Is she the one who has been sending him nightmares? Is this her way of warning him about her big brother?

Three cheers for Vicki, who shows a little of her old backbone when she dares Burke to investigate Sarah--and to produce her. You're so good at that sort of thing, she adds, as sarcastic as she is ever likely to get.

Later, Sarah appears to David in an eerie blue light. She says Willie didn't kidnap Maggie--in fact, he went to the cottage to warn her. Can you tell me where the coffin is? he asks. I can't, she replies, adding tellingly, I'm glad you don't know. But in a flash, David realizes it's in the cellar of the Old House. All poor Sarah can do is disappear (in a very nice actual special effect) as she warns him the classic three times to stay away from the Old House.

Want to bet what David will do next?

[citrouille] David tells new Burke  [devil2] that Sarah is a ghost and Vickie deduces this as well.
Sarah disappears from David's room onscreen thus making sure that the audience now knows she is a ghost .

Yesterday's closing scene played much much better in today's opening scene.

The drawing room curtain are red. I don't remember noticing that before. That side of the drawing room looks different to me for some reason.

Vicki does some provocative deducing regarding Julia's medallion.

David has a rich kid's crystal ball. I have never in my fifty some odd years seen a crystal ball that size. David's got Julia's #. I can't believe Vicki let David leave the house to meet Sarah (and neither does Burke). David's quite a haggler, lol.

David finds Sarah (or did she find him?) and tries to get to the bottom of his dream. Burke screws the whole thing up. He's got the dad thang down pat.  I was so hoping that the tree stump would be be too short for Burke to plop down on comfortably. It almost appeared as if he pulled it under him to sit on.

Anthony George screws up his entrance. I think we here stage direction as he redoes his entrance. Damn, Vicki is a believer in ghosts! Holy smokes!!!

Wow, the closing scene had my undivided attention. I guess I'd have to say it was pretty darn gripping.

Vicki was very interesting in this episode as a character.
