The first few episodes of season 2 of Ragged Isle have been uploaded, and so far I'm still enjoying it! The series won 3 Indie Soap Opera awards: for best Web series, best cinematography, and best director of a drama (Barry Dodd).

Still seems to be at least partly an homage to Dark Shadows. They have introduced a new character with a last name that will be familiar to friends of DS. The opening voiceovers include "My name is Vicki Burke" and also include at least one sentence that starts "There are those who...."

Thanks for the reminder, Dark Lady.  I'll have to check this out.

In one scene in Episode 4, two characters tell us they were big fans of Dark Shadows!  [ghost_grin]

Episode 15 is now up at the Ragged Isle Web site. A wolf's-head cane figures rather unpleasantly in the proceedings!!!

Sharon Smyth went out of her way to give Ragged Isle a plug at the Fest banquet on Sunday.

Just found this after hearing Sharon talk about it.  Watch episode 1 and it really grabs your attention.  The episode is much shorter than I expected though

Those of us who have stuck with Ragged Isle through its infrequent episode releases (some delays due to external circumstances) are about to see the final episode pretty soon. The story wasn't quite what I expected but is still fascinating and full of surprises. (I actually cried at one point.) My one complaint is the unpleasantly de-nasalized voice of the actress who plays the heroine, Vicky Burke. Yup, that's her name, and there are a few more nice little nods to DS scattered throughout.

All the episodes except for the finale are up, so you can binge-watch to your heart's content.

I'd gotten away from this due to the infrequent posting of eps.  [ghost_sad]  Thanks for the reminder.  [ghost_smiley]
