The Burton/Depp movie has, in more than one instance, blended characteristics from multiple original series characters into a single, new persona. If we are lucky enough to see a sequel, what other pairs or groups of characters could be creatively combined? Let your imaginations run wild. :)
Personally I would like to see it revealed that Mrs. Johnson is actually semi-retired good witch Bathia Mapes.

I think that I'd like to see a hybrid of Paul Stoddard and Nicholas Blair.
-
I want a hybrid of Prof. Stokes and Pansy Faye. Imagine the shrieks when Stokes enters the great hall wearing nothing but a long, hot-pink boa and starts to hootchie-kootch his way through "I wanna dance for you."
It would give Depp and Pfeiffer wonderful opportunities for eye-rolling and mugging if nothing else.

Sadly, I feel like the film's Roger already had a bit too much Paul Stoddard in him.
-
How about Professor Alexis Stokes, occult expert who is also a lookalike for Angelique?
-
Great ideas! Thanks Uncle Rog and Gothick. [ghost_smiley]

Huh... Who knew what a "filk song" was... Learn something new every day.

The term comes out of science fiction fandom.
I like Stokesy Faye, and Traskbuzz.

Oh my, Traskbuzz would probably make my brain explode, lol [ghost_grin] I'm not good at thinking of hybrids/combos, but I would love to see both Trask and Prof. Stokes represented in some fashion in a sequel. Trask especially- he was such a delicious adversary. In Stokes' case, I'm not sure how much it was that I was a fan of the character per se because to be honest, I was just always in awe of Thayer David. The funny thing is, I could totally see Thayer wearing a hot pink boa!
-
Thayer got up to some pretty wild stuff (in the company of Christopher Pennock and an incredible ensemble cast) in the early Merchant/Ivory indie movie, Savages.
Cousin B I am sorry your song was deleted. I thought it was a hoot!
I think there should be a hybrid of Suki Forbes and Count Petofi. I leave the possibilities to your imagination.

A hybrid of Cassandra and Magda would liven things up.

Taking the queston seriously, I think a Joe/Quentin hybrid would make a lot of sense as a love intrest for Carolyn in a few years.
