Title: Comic book cameo
Post by: PennyDreadful on March 27, 2012, 04:26:52 AM
My new comic book 'Penny Dreadful's Cauldron of Terror' will be out soon from indie imprint Comic Book Divas.  The second story features artwork by the talented Frankie Washington (http://www.frankiebwashington.com/)

Of course, we couldn't resist sneaking in a little cameo in the background. :)

I'd love to review your book in Scary Monsters Mag--I must say that the guy in the photo looks familiar.

Love it!  And how great is it that you worked lugubrious into it right off the, um, bat?!

Such coolness, and the writer (yourself?) has a delicious command of something dear to my heart that used to be known as the English language... "icy carapace" has a marvelous ring to it.  FAAAAABulous!

Penny Dreadful in the comics is quite the Goddess, but she just doesn't have quite the distinctive charm that you yourself radiate in the flesh.

Hoping the comic is a huge success!  I need to order it!

hugs, Gothick

Thanks gang.

David - dropped you an email!

Midnite - I was hoping you'd pick up on "lugubriously."  Heehee.  I remember you got a kick out of that word back when we did the 'Drunk Shadows' episode way back in season 1 of 'Shilling Shockers.'

Gothick - Aw shucks, thanks!  Yes, I wrote the comic.  The artwork in story one ("Sprite Fright") is by Josh Barker.  The art in story two ("Puppy Love") is by Frankie Washington.

I've just been told to review Penny's comic in Fangoria Mag as a follow-up to the interview I did with her a few months back.
Should I write my rave now or read the book first, lol?

Neat!  Thanks David!
