Hey everyone, how's everything going, I've been gone for a very long time, but I'm glad to be back!

I'm really happy that Dark Shadows is now on early in the morning, now I can watch it before I go to school. I love watching the 1897 flashback.

I just started to watch it, and I must have missed something, what is the big deal with Count Petofi's hand, why is it so important!

Petofi's hand has magic powers that could be used to cure Quentin of his lycanthropy, which is why Barnabas & co. want it.  The hand is also a sacred gypsy relic, which is why they want it back.  Count Petofi is the original owner, who needed to reclaim the hand in order to survive.  Tim Shaw wants to use the hand to take revenge on Trask.  Hence, it's a very popular item.
