Just what we need: the DS film's competition getting exposure on the Oscars:

The campaign for this movie is very good.  It has mainstream press coverage, something I doubt Shadows will get until the weeks directly leading up to the release.

In what might not be a good sign for him, I've read several places where people are already aggravated with him over the whole Would-He-Or-Wouldn't-He-Attend-The-Oscars foolishness and they're dreading the actual stunt. And what should really be interesting is what sort of a reaction he gets when the entertainment press starts dissecting the whole telecast. His stunts often seem to be very hit or miss, sometimes alienating more people than he impresses. So it's going to be extremely interesting to see which way this plays out...

Very true.  The AP reports that he dumped an urn full of ashes onto Ryan Seacrest, claiming the ashes to be that of Kim Jong Il...  Let's hope he keeps up these disrespectful tirades and alienates as many people as humanly possible!   [snow_cheesy]

Well, apparently dumping ashes on someone gets you pulled from the Oscar telecast. What a shame. ... Yeah, right.  [snow_rolleyes]

I see where tvguide.com has a poll asking if he went too far on the red carpet, and currently the results are 68% yes. And from what I can see, the people commenting on his antics on several different Web sites are almost universally saying he should be ashamed of himself.

Let the bad press begin...
