West Virginia Public Broadcasting's animated film The Griffin and the Minor Canon, for which David Selby provided the voice of the Griffin, received the Best of Show award at the annual conference of the National Educational Telecommunications Association earlier this month in San Antonio, Texas. Brad Stalnaker, the film's animator and co-producer, was on hand to accept the award.
Meanwhile, the word from Chicago is that temperatures have been so cold recently that they are causing problems with the cameras for the location shoots for Surviving Christmas, the upcoming Ben Affleck/Christina Applegate film in which David Selby will also appear. Local media reports indicate that at least one shooting location was abandoned altogether on Monday due to the frigid temperatures.

I was glad to have had the opportunity to view that film at the fest. I was also impressed by the fact that Selby gave the copy he'd brought to a member of the audience who had requested it. A classy guy indeed. :-)
