Edward seemed to be ill prepared when following his sister to the one place he knew a Vampire would be found... I also wonder where he found that stick, did he fashion it himself? not very sharp was it.

Wonder where Dirk got that coffin?  They do seem to have a lot of them lying around.  Anyway, bad as that one appeared, it was better than the dirt Barnabus threw Pansy in!  Couldn't he have found a sheet at least to wrap the body in.  He doesn't usually gross me out, but when he threw dirt on her, that did.  I know it was a hurried burial, but surely a handkerchief over her face would have been appropriate!

LOL!  And so conviently too! It seems as if every other abandoned house or shack has one readily available for who ever just happens to come along.

My humble problem with that scene was the fact that Edward didn't stake him in the heart -- it was in his stomach.  A couple of more inches down, and it would have gone right through his navel.

I noticed that too, Connie.

I have a humble problem myself - how weak is Edward anyway? He had to use all of his strength to open Dirk's casket lid which was obviously not THAT heavy. I guess we'd find no calluses on Edward's hands...

I thought the same thing.
