Maybe Denise Carey should actually sell it to him. Murphy would certainly have more money than she does to pay for all the needed repairs. [wink2] And as someone who loves DS, Murphy would also understand that the house is part of "the lexicon of famous horror homes in America," as he puts it, so I doubt he would discourage fans from visiting, if not the inside (which is absolutely nothing like the show, anyway), at least the outside.
