Since the show isn't on right now, I thought it might
be fun to share some of our DS favs with each other.
I'll go first, but I really want to hear everyone
else's! (please?) If you don't have responses for some
of my categories, hey, just skip that one and do the
ones you would like to respond to.
ALL-TIME FAVORITE DS MOMENT:
____________________________
Very hard to chose. There's so many! But ultimately I
would have to pick Willie taking the chains off the
coffin. I remember that I literally wasn't breathing
the first time I was watching that scene!
(1st runner up - Angelique placing the vampire curse
on Barnabas)
FAVORITE OH YUCK, THAT WAS AWFUL, BUT CAN I SEE IT
AGAIN? MOMENT:
__________________________________________
The stake being driven into Tom's heart. That was so
cool.
(1st runner up - Yager licking Maggie's hairbrush!)
FAVORITE GHOST:
__________________
It's hard to go against a ghost that has their own
theme song, but I really have a soft spot in my heart
for Jeremiah.
FAVORITE I DIDN'T LIKE THEM AT FIRST, BUT THEN THEY
GREW ON ME CHARACTER:
______________________________
Adam. I hated him at first when he couldn't talk, but
then by the end of his story, I really liked him a lot
and was rooting for him to get Caroline.
BEST CLUELESS IN COLLINWOOD CHARACTER:
_______________________________________
Vicki- voted most likely to marry a guy from another
century and then act surprised when he vanishes.
(laughs)  She pulled so many dumb stunts, I could
never name them all.
FAVORITE SCENE STEALER:
___________________________
Willie, without a doubt. Love him in any scene.
FAVORITE STORYLINE OR PLOT:
________________________
This is the hardest of all. Some many to choose from
and so many were interwoven with others, it's hard to
separate them. I think I'll have to go with Angelique
and Barnabas's relationship.
WORST STORYLINE:
_________________
Elizabeth's "Oh my God I'm gonna be buried alive!"
story. That took forever to go nowhere and the
ending was anticlimactic. I have to wonder if they
changed their minds and just ended it or something.
Very un-DS like!
FAVORITE ROMANCE OR ROMANTIC MOMENT:
___________________________________
In spite of the actors, who aren't exactly my
favorites, when Vicki was going to be hanged and Jeff
was yelling, "I'll find you, somehow, I'll find you!"
and he did.... well, that's my idea of a great
romance.

FAVORITE VILLAIN:
___________________
Nicholas
WORST COUPLE:
__________________
Adam and Eve
FAVORITE COUPLE:
_________________
Barnabas and Josette
I WISH THEY HAD GOT TOGETHER, BUT THEY DIDN'T COUPLE:
__________________________________________________
Adam and Caroline
(1st runner up -Cassandra and Tony! Whoa, baby.
Sparks were flying between those two. I wish they had
done more with that.)
CHARACTER YOU WISH THEY HAD USED MORE:
_________________________________________
Tony Peterson
I really, really, liked that character and I wanted to
see more of him. I wish they had involved him more in
the plot.
FAVORITE SUSPENSE:
_______________________
Probably Willie taking the chains, off, but if I can't
vote twice for the same thing in two categories, so
I'll go with when Angelique came back and
was waiting in Eve's bedroom for Barnabas.
THIS HAD ME ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING MOMENT:
_______________________
Oh, it has to be the destruction of Collinwood by the
Three Stooges! (that's what I call it anyway) We had
this HUGE build-up to this scene that I thought would
be dramatic as hell, and then when it happened it was
so lame, I was falling out of my chair laughing until
tears were rolling down my face! When the guy threw a
tablecloth on top of another guy I really lost it.
FAVORITE DS BLOOPER:
____________________
"Several of my incestors - incestors? Ancestors were
buried here."

Your turn!

Interesting questions, Rhonda!!  Here are some of mine.
ALL-TIME FAVORITE DS MOMENT:
Willie taking off the chains was my favorite too. Another was when Roger came face to face with Quentin's ghost! Quentin's ghost and Ezra Braithewaite was a keeper too.
FAVORITE OH YUCK, THAT WAS AWFUL, BUT CAN I SEE IT
AGAIN? MOMENT:
Jeremiah as a ghost/zombie!!
FAVORITE GHOST:
My favorite ghost was Quentin Collins, second favorite Gerard Stiles.  My least favorite ghost was Sam Evans.
FAVORITE I DIDN'T LIKE THEM AT FIRST, BUT THEN THEY
GREW ON ME CHARACTER:
I'd have to say Jebez Hawkes here! I never really liked the character, though it did improve slightly with time.
BEST CLUELESS IN COLLINWOOD CHARACTER:
Any version of Maggie would do here!
FAVORITE STORYLINE OR PLOT:
1897 is my favorite storyline.
WORST STORYLINE:
I think Leviathan was my least favorite. Never should have been written.
FAVORITE VILLAIN:
Quentin in 1897.
WORST COUPLE:
Judith and Gregory Trask, or PT1970 Quentin and Maggie!!
FAVORITE COUPLE:
Chris and Carolyn.  I wish more had been done with this after the return from 1897.
CHARACTER YOU WISH THEY HAD USED MORE:
I would have liked to see Petofi in 1970.  The Count's fate at the end of 1897 was pretty much left up in the air.
THIS HAD ME ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING MOMENT:
Barnabas searching for his lines!! Harder to come by than his beloved Josette!!!
FAVORITE DS BLOOPER:
Julia!! Remember............someone!!!!!
Great questions!!  Thanks for posting.

FAVORITE DS BLOOPER: "Barnabas Cousins." - Quentin. (1st Runner up: The fly [or was it a moth?] that flew into Reverend Trask's mouth during his exorcism of Viki in 1795. (I think that was what was going on in that scene.)

ALL-TIME FAVORITE DS MOMENT:
____________________________
Hard to pick just one. And I don't know that I can.

FAVORITE OH YUCK, THAT WAS AWFUL, BUT CAN I SEE IT
AGAIN? MOMENT:
__________________________________________

John Yaeger licking Maggie's hairbrush--oddly compelling even if it was also really, really disgusting
FAVORITE GHOST:
__________________

Bill "What Do You Do with a Drunken Sailor?" Malloy

FAVORITE I DIDN'T LIKE THEM AT FIRST, BUT THEN THEY
GREW ON ME CHARACTER:
______________________________

Judith. Hated her in the beginning, thought she was a narrow-minded, shrewish character, but the more I saw her, the more I thought about her and the more she intrigued me.

BEST CLUELESS IN COLLINWOOD CHARACTER:
_______________________________________

Three-way tie between Rachel Drummond, late-Vicki and George Patterson

FAVORITE SCENE STEALER:
___________________________

Tie between Clarice Blackburn and Thayer David

FAVORITE STORYLINE OR PLOT:
________________________

The beginning of the show (Vicki's arrival/Burke Devlin's search for vengeance). I know these aren't popular episodes, but they were so well-done.and I love them.

WORST STORYLINE:
_________________

1840 PT The writing, already abysmal, sunk to even greater lows. The characters made no sense. The clothes stunk and the ultimate sin: the hair. It was so very, very bad.
There are many, many runners up.

FAVORITE ROMANCE OR ROMANTIC MOMENT:
___________________________________

A hard category. I liked the Quentin/Beth pairing was interested in that. Terry Crawford wasn't the strongest actress on the show, but it was a believable combination and they had some chemistry together.
FAVORITE VILLAIN:
___________________

Nicholas Blair

WORST COUPLE:
__________________

Not sure if you mean worst as in "oh, God, I hate these people so much this is painful to watch" or worst as in "two people who should never, ever reproduce."
If it's the former, than: Morgan (you may also substitute) Bramwell and Catherine
If it's the latter, than: Barnabas and Roxanne (any Roxanne)

FAVORITE COUPLE:
_________________

Tony and Carolyn. A nice healthy, if brief pairing. They had chemistry. They were fun to watch and they didn't bore me.

I WISH THEY HAD GOT TOGETHER, BUT THEY DIDN'T COUPLE:
__________________________________________________

Elizabeth Stoddard and Jason McGuire. Yeah, he was a total sleaze, but he was so much fun and it could have made for some intriguing TV.
CHARACTER YOU WISH THEY HAD USED MORE:
_________________________________________

Tony Peterson. He was hunky and feisty and damn, I would have liked to see more of him.
FAVORITE SUSPENSE:
_______________________

Not one of the show's strengths. I guess I would go with the bit where Maggie is making her escape from the Old House and Barnabas is hunting her down.

THIS HAD ME ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING MOMENT:
_______________________

One of Mrs. Johnson's first scenes. It takes place at the coffee shop in the Collinsport Inn. A very patient Maggie is waiting on her and Mrs. Johnson puts her through the wringer. She'd like a roast beef sandwich. Very well done. Is the mayonnaise fresh? Mr. Malloy loved her mayonnaise. She made it fresh. Maggie tells her she just opened up the jar that day. Mrs. Johnson sniffs. Maggie brings her the sandwich. Mrs. Johnson takes a bite and sets it down. You can practically hear her thinking it's not the same, this new-fangled mayonnaise. Mr. Malloy loved my mayonnaise. Maggie tries very hard not to let it show that she'd like to smack Mrs. Johnson with the jar. Mrs. Johnson sighs and starts to leave, her worst suspicions about the world, the youth of today, society, and those people at Hellman's confirmed. She turns back and in a manner reminiscent of the late John D. hands Maggie a dime "for her trouble."
I loved every minute of it.
FAVORITE DS BLOOPER:
____________________

I'm going to steal this one from Linda. One of HAA's characters is performing some sort of dark Satanic ritual, altar and all. A stage hand scurries right in front, realizes he's in the shot and yelps "Jesus," before scurrying out.
Great questions!

Interesting stuff; haven't done a DS poll in I don't know how long, so why not.
ALL-TIME FAVORITE DS MOMENT:
Nathan Forbes shoots Barnabas with a crossbow; looks like Barnabas got the point. But wait! He pulls the bolt out and growls, "You didn't get my heart, Lieutenant. You didn't get my heart!" That was one of the first scenes of Barnabas I ever saw as a kid and it stuck with me. No mamby-pamby whiny Barnabas here; just a cool display of wicked power. Not enough of these in the show.
FAVORITE OH YUCK, THAT WAS AWFUL, BUT CAN I SEE IT AGAIN? MOMENT:
Yep; the hairbrush. Can't think of anything else that left that kind of impression.

FAVORITE GHOST:
Josette, if only for the scene of her appearing out of the painting in the early episodes of the show.

FAVORITE I DIDN'T LIKE THEM AT FIRST, BUT THEN THEY GREW ON ME CHARACTER:
Cyrus Longworth. I always wanted to smack him around for being so damned sensitive, but on subsequent viewings of the show, I realized he was so sensitive because Chris Pennock was doing such a fine job convincing me.
BEST CLUELESS IN COLLINWOOD CHARACTER:
Take your pick of ingenues. Insert Barnabas on occasion.

FAVORITE SCENE STEALER:
Humbert Allen Astredo. Nobody can ham it up and have more fun--except perhaps Karlen and Thayer David.
FAVORITE STORYLINE OR PLOT:
The original, non-supernatural episodes, believe it or not, leading up to the discovery of Barnabas (although I've never been all that keen on Laura's subplot). So much wonderful stuff was set up in those early days. Following that, the high points during 1795 and 1897 made both equally intriguing.
WORST STORYLINE:
Have to agree with "Elizabeth's 'Oh my God I'm gonna be buried alive!'" subplot. Jezus, it was endless tedium. I really got to disliking Elizabeth during this time, and I strongly disliked disliking Elizabeth.

FAVORITE ROMANCE OR ROMANTIC MOMENT:
Daphne finally falling for Quentin. Okay, sorry, so sue me. ;)

FAVORITE VILLAIN:
A toss-up between Thayer David as Petofi and Humbert Allen Astredo as Nicholas Blair. Jim Storm as Gerard is close behind.

WORST COUPLE:
Carolyn and Buzz. A memorable but terminally annoying pair.

FAVORITE COUPLE:
Barnabas and Angelique, if you can call them that.
I WISH THEY HAD GOT TOGETHER, BUT THEY DIDN'T COUPLE:
Julia and Professor Stokes. A match made in the laboratory.

CHARACTER YOU WISH THEY HAD USED MORE:
Mrs. Johnson. After she got past being Burke Devlin's spy, her character just became a flat backdrop. Tony Peterson's in there too, I reckon. I'm a big Jerry Lacy fan and I enjoyed just about any character he played. Tony could've gone places if they'd let him.
FAVORITE SUSPENSE:
Where is Bill Malloy? OK, not necessarily a nail-biter, but one of the more engaging subplots, since Bill was fine character. His demise really bothered me.
THIS HAD ME ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING MOMENT:
"This gives me the Willies." First time I saw this, I hurt myself laughing.
FAVORITE DS BLOOPER:
Yaeger trying to hang the painting over the safe. First time I saw this, I hurt myself laughing.

 ALL-TIME FAVORITE DS MOMENT:
____________________________

Barnabas returning to the Old House for the first time in 1967.  It's easy saying it with hindsight, but watching it for the first time, you just know it's the beginning of something really special.

FAVORITE OH YUCK, THAT WAS AWFUL, BUT CAN I SEE IT
AGAIN? MOMENT:
__________________________________________

Petofi plunging a glass into Quentin's face -- unusually brutal for the show and it sets up the twist that follows perfectly.

FAVORITE GHOST:
__________________

Josette -- something wistful and eerie about her first appearances that always sticks with me.

FAVORITE I DIDN'T LIKE THEM AT FIRST, BUT THEN THEY
GREW ON ME CHARACTER:
______________________________

Vicki.  She's strictly 40 watt and never really seems to learn, but deep down she's fundamentally vulnerable, and I grew to like that eventually.  Changing into Carolyn Groves didn't hurt matters either.

BEST CLUELESS IN COLLINWOOD CHARACTER:
_______________________________________

Roger -- blessed with sufficient arrogance and stupidity to generally discount the supernatural altogether, again and again...

FAVORITE SCENE STEALER:
___________________________

John Karlen -- he's got such a kinetic, dangerous quality about his performances.

FAVORITE STORYLINE OR PLOT:
________________________

The Phoenix storyline -- it's an interesting coming-of-age story for David in some respects, having his rose-tinted illusions about his mother horrifically removed. And interesting to have a villain without any real malice, just a callous conviction to carrying out her existence. And it scores bonus points for actually having the characters acknowledge that this stuff is out of the ordinary.

WORST STORYLINE:
_________________

Liz's premature burial... Did we really need six months of harping on about nothing to write Joan Bennett out for a couple of weeks? Surely a visit to Bangor would have sufficed.

FAVORITE ROMANCE OR ROMANTIC MOMENT:
___________________________________

Barnabas returning to the Old House after discovering Josette has eloped. When he turns to a crestfallen Angelique and announces: "In spite of it, I still love her" it's not denial, it's utter conviction and there's a lot of pathos that the usual "oh my poor Josette" stuff often lacked.

FAVORITE VILLAIN:
___________________

Count Petofi -- gotta love someone who can talk of death and destruction like the most agreeable of dinner guests.

WORST COUPLE:
__________________

Chris Jennings and Sabrina Stuart. Ick.

FAVORITE COUPLE:
_________________

Maggie and Joe -- sweet, believable people who obviously cared for each other a great deal.

I WISH THEY HAD GOT TOGETHER, BUT THEY DIDN'T COUPLE:
__________________________________________________

Stokes and Elizabeth. Two characters of a similar age with similar values and convictions, both of whom strike me as fundamentally lonely.

CHARACTER YOU WISH THEY HAD USED MORE:
_________________________________________

Roger. Louis Edmonds was such a brilliant performer that he could be enjoyable and memorable doing pretty much nothing, which rather sums Roger up post-1967. He's criminally underused.

FAVORITE SUSPENSE:
_______________________

Maggie turns up at the Blue Whale, to greet a room of people who don't know she's dead and expose Barnabas! Yikes! And Barnabas is utterly terrified! The stakes rarely get higher in the show.

THIS HAD ME ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING MOMENT:

 POSSIBLE SPOILERS.......
ALL-TIME FAVORITE DS MOMENT:
My favorite was when Barnabas FINALLY finds out that it was his wife who is the witch instead of Vicky! After being so clueless during the whole 1795 storyline it was a great relief to have him finally know the truth. This, along with when Angelique places the curse on Barnabas was also my favorite!  That scene was incredible! Barnabas shoots Angelique, then she, thinking she was dying, utters those awful words that'll haunt him throughout all eternity!! I thought these two played the scene out beautifully!
Another favorite of mine was when the ghost of Sarah finally appears to her brother Barnabas at the old house. That was a real tearjerker!
FAVORITE OH YUCK, THAT WAS AWFUL, BUT CAN I SEE IT AGAIN? MOMENT:
When Barnabas ages to 200 years old and bites Carolyn!
FAVORITE GHOST
Sarah was my favorite ghost!  I thought she was so adorable! Plus, I liked how she got to interact with some of the characters without being in any way a threat to them.
FAVORITE I DIDN'T LIKE THEM AT FIRST BUT THEN THEY GREW ON ME CHARACTER.
Well when I first started watching the show in the 60's, I couldn't stand Quentin as a ghost.  I thought he was just so mean & evil.  But then as soon as he opened his mouth (in 1897) that all changed quickly!!  You just couldn't help but love him. ;-)
BEST CLUELESS IN COLLINWOOD CHARACTER
I would have to say Josette in 1795.  It was worse enough that she was so clueless about her maid Angelique, but when her maid suddenly decides to marry her former Fiance, well, this to me was the worst!! Then later on she & her Aunt Natalie go to the old house looking for Barnabas,  and Josette finds him just about near death. Meanwhile, Angelique is telling them that Barnabas isn't there and is trying her best to get rid of them.  I mean, if she didn't catch on by then, forget it!! She just had too many clues and still remained clueless!
FAVORITE SCENE STEALER
Charity Trask as Pansy Faye!!!
I especially loved the scenes she had with her father Gregory Trask.  I thought they were hysterical!! There was one scene when she actually gives him the bump with her hip and tells him to "lighten up governor"  after he's scolding her for wearing way too much make-up.  The look on his face was just priceless!!
FAVORITE STORYLINE OR PLOT.
Without a doubt I loved the 1795 storyline the best.  It showed how Barnabas had become what he was and the reason behind it.  I also loved the intoduction of Angelique and watching her perform all of her spells throughout the story.
1897 is a close runner up too!
WORST STORYLINE.
The whole Levithan thing.  I just couldn't get into that!
FAVORITE ROMANCE OR ROMANTIC MOMENT:
When Lamar Trask shoots Angelique in 1840 and Barnabas FINALLY realizes that she was his one true love!! He then tells her he loves her but by then it's too late.  It's too bad he didn't realize this centuries ago!!
FAVORITE VILLIAN.
A toss up between Nickolas Blair & Count Petofi.  I thought they both were great!!
WORST COUPLE.
Samantha & Quentin Collins! IMO These two had absolutely no chemistry whatsoever!
FAVORITE COUPLE.
Barnabas & Angelique.  When they kissed you could see sparks fly!  They had great on screen chemistry together!
I also liked Joe & Maggie together. These two were like the all American couple and I hated to see them split up. It was also nice to see somebody finally happy together on the show.
I WISH THEY HAD GOT TOGETHER BUT DIDN'T COUPLE.
Beth & Quentin! IMO  Beth was the only woman who truly cared for him.
CHARACTER YOU WISH THEY HAD USED MORE.
Count Petofi!  It would have been great to see him turn up in the present day storyline!!
FAVORITE SUSPENSE.
When Barnabas was trying to get Ben to write the initial of the real witch in 1795.  Ben, at first draws a "V" which adds to the suspense, then quickly adds the line in between to make an "A"
THIS HAD ME ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING MOMENT.
Just about any scene with Charity Trask possesed by Pansy Faye in it!! I died laughing everytime I saw any one of her scenes, especially the ones that included her "self rightous" father!
FAVORITE DS BLOOPER.
My favorite was that famous line that was said by Bathis Mapes up in the tower room " And go to the house of the curse!" [kaiokn]
This was a great idea Rhonda!

 ALL-TIME FAVORITE DS MOMENT:
The stormy night at Collinwood, when in the Drawing Room, Barnabas recounts the tragic story about Josette to Vickie and Carolyn. I've said this 100 times, it was some of Frids best acting on the show. As a viewer, I felt like I was in the room listening right along with Carolyn and Vickie.
FAVORITE OH YUCK, THAT WAS AWFUL, BUT CAN I SEE IT AGAIN? MOMENT:
For me we have to venture outside the TV series to the scene in the theatrical film HOD's where Mrs. Johnson drops the tray after seeing Carolyn all bloodied up from Barnies bites.

FAVORITE GHOST:
Beth.
FAVORITE I DIDN'T LIKE THEM AT FIRST, BUT THEN THEY GREW ON ME CHARACTER:
Bruno Hess
BEST CLUELESS IN COLLINWOOD CHARACTER:
Vickie

FAVORITE SCENE STEALER:
Have to agree with Mark, Humbert Allen Astredo.  The man had PRESENCE.
FAVORITE STORYLINE OR PLOT:
1897
WORST STORYLINE:
I really enjoyed all the plots of the show, but would agree the Liz being buried alive sub-plot was poorly done.
FAVORITE ROMANCE OR ROMANTIC MOMENT:
Barnabas and Josette.

FAVORITE VILLAIN:
The Head........and body of Judah Zachery

WORST COUPLE:
Mrs. Johnson and Bill Malloy. They had a thing on the side that very few were aware of . ;)
FAVORITE COUPLE:
Maggie and Joe. At times it did get a bit Barbie/Ken-ish, but overall I enjoyed seeing them together.
I WISH THEY HAD GOT TOGETHER, BUT THEY DIDN'T COUPLE:
Daphne and Bramwell. Although they were sort of together, somebody's heart was not in the right place.
CHARACTER YOU WISH THEY HAD USED MORE:
Kay Fry as Pansy Faye.
FAVORITE SUSPENSE:
Vickie trying to discover whom her parents were.
THIS HAD ME ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING MOMENT:

Any of the characters who can't believe something supernatural is going on, when they just got done dealing with the supernatural in the last storyline.
FAVORITE SCENE STEALER:
___________________________
Magda Rakosi - just try to look away when she's onscreen, I dare you!
FAVORITE STORYLINE OR PLOT:
________________________
The Dream Curse/Vampire Angelique.  Messy and uneven, but it features some of the series' best showdowns.  And I like messy.
WORST STORYLINE:
_________________
1841PT - Just couldn't get into it.  Dull and somehow unsettling - and not in a good way.
FAVORITE ROMANCE OR ROMANTIC MOMENT:
___________________________________
Barnabas to Julia - never without you...
FAVORITE VILLAIN:
___________________
Count Petofi - Thayer David deserved an Emmy.  This was a villain I loved to hate - in a good way.  Nicholas Blair is a very close second.
WORST COUPLE:
__________________
Jeez, they were all pretty dysfunctional.  Guess I'd have to say Roger and Cassandra or Megan and Philip Todd.  Nothing going on the chemistry department for either couple.
FAVORITE COUPLE:
_________________
Maggie and Joe.  They seemed to really care about each other more than themselves.  That's love, IMO.
But Maggie and Nicholas Blair was a way interesting pairing.  Imagine the possibilities if they'd had Magggie turn to the Dark side!
I WISH THEY HAD GOT TOGETHER, BUT THEY DIDN'T COUPLE:
_____________________________________________
Barnabas and Julia.  'Cos the good doctor really knew how to stand by her vamp.
CHARACTER YOU WISH THEY HAD USED MORE:
_________________________________________
Any of the characters played by Thayer David, but especially Prof. Stokes, who should've been let in on the secrets by Julia and Barnabas.
FAVORITE SUSPENSE:
_______________________
This one is hard...I'll go with the whole 'Elizabeth nearly marries Jason McGuire (who Carolyn's planning to shoot), but instead Liz reveals she killed Paul Stoddard and buried him in the cellar, after which Jason reveals Liz only thought she killed Paul.'  Lots of revelations and insight into the initially fascinating Liz Collins Stoddard character. Good television.
THIS HAD ME ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING MOMENT:
_______________________
Nicholas Blair turning Cassandra's hand all skeletal -"Look at your HAND!"  Could run this on a continual loop and laugh myself sick.
FAVORITE DS BLOOPER:
____________________
Not really a blooper, but when the ghost of Jeremiah kidnapped Angelique on her wedding night and tried to bury her alive why didn't she JUST SIT UP?  The grave was like six inches deep! LOL
What a great idea this was, Rhonda.  It's been really interesting reading through everyone's responses!

 ALL-TIME FAVORITE MOMENT:
This one is very difficult for me. There have been so many wonderful scenes, I cannot chose just one.
FAVORITE OH YUCK, THAT WAS AWFUL, BUT CAN I SEE IT AGAIN?:
Any scene between Gregory Trask and Rachel. That man grosses me out.
FAVORITE GHOST:
Daphne because she seemed to be very kind and tried to fight Gerard.
FAVORITE I DIDN'T LIKE THEM AT FIRST, BUT THEY GREW ON ME CHARACTER:
Quentin. I hated him as a ghost and at the beginning of 1897. By they end, however, I ended up liking him.
BEST CLUELESS IN COLLINWOOD CHARACTER:
Vicki, hands-down. Her character just went downhill.
FAVORITE SCENE STEALER:
There were a lot, but my favorite is probably HAA as Nicholas Blair. He just commanded your attention in every scene he was in.
FAVORITE STORYLINE:
1840. I loved everything about it.
WORST STORYLINE:
Any of the Parallel Time storylines. I hate having no one be the same!
FAVORITE ROMANCE OR ROMANTIC MOMENT:
Angelique's death scene in 1840. I cry everytime. Basically any romantic scene between Barnabas and Angelique.
FAVORITE VILLAIN:
Nicholas or Gerard Stiles possessed by Judah Zachary.
WORST COUPLE:
Carrie Stokes and Jeremy Grimes, if that is even considered a couple. Or Barnabas and Roxanne.
FAVORITE COUPLE:
I'm a die-hard Barnabas-Angelique fan.
I WISH THEY GOT TOGETHER, BUT DIDN'T COUPLE:
Julia and Prof. Stokes. Good match in these two.
CHARACTER YOU WISHED THEY HAD USED MORE:
This isn't a character, but I wish they would have stayed in 1995 longer; I thought that was really interesting.
FAVORITE SUSPENSE:
During the Dream Curse storyline, when Nicholas tells Cassandra she has till 9:00 to find out why the curse didn't work. I thought she wouldn't make it, and I was screaming at the t.v. for her to listen to David's tape!
THIS HAD ME ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING MOMENT:
The burning of Worthington Hall. Hehe. Also, when Julia goes to Sabrina Stuart and she wakes up. Then, Ned says something (can't remember) and Julia goes, "I'll send you a bill."
FAVORITE BLOOPER:
Barnabas: "I'll go to Magda and get the.....myre...and the....the...things that she needs."
That was fun!

 ALL-TIME FAVORITE DS MOMENT:
There are so many, it's impossible for me to chose just one!
FAVORITE OH YUCK, THAT WAS AWFUL, BUT CAN I SEE IT AGAIN? MOMENT:
John Yaeger and the hairbrush.
FAVORITE GHOST:
Sarah
FAVORITE I DIDN'T LIKE THEM AT FIRST, BUT THEN THEY GREW ON ME CHARACTER:
Willie Loomis
BEST CLUELESS IN COLLINWOOD CHARACTER:
Has to be Vicki!
FAVORITE SCENE STEALER:
Thayer David
FAVORITE STORYLINE OR PLOT:
1795, narrowly beating out the intoduction of Barnabas.
WORST STORYLINE:
The Liz premature burial story.  Joan Bennet deserved so much better!
FAVORITE ROMANCE OR ROMANTIC MOMENT:
Barnabas to Julia: Never without you.
FAVORITE VILLIAN:
Tie between Nicholas Blair and Count Petofi.
WORST COUPLE:
Maggie and Nicholas
FAVORITE COUPLE:
Joe and Maggie
I WISH THEY HAD GOT TOGETHER, BUT THEY DIDN'T COUPLE:
Barnabas and Julia
CHARACTER YOU WISH THEY HAD USED MORE:
Mrs. Johnson.
FAVORITE SUSPENSE:
Chris changing into the werewolf in front of Joe.
THIS HAD ME ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING MOMENT:
Dr. Lang recording his message to Julia after turning the tape recorder off!
FAVORITE DS BLOOPER:
Again, too many to pick just one!
This poll was a great idea, and the responses were fun to read!

BEST CLUELESS IN COLLINWOOD CHARACTER:

Professor Stokes. . . love that he picks up antique furniture without the slightest hesitancy.

Hmm m m. . . being who and what i am, i have to say many of the selfless things Julia did for that crazy vampire. . . and his few moments of recognition stand out--after Tom snacked on Julia and after she steered the Sheriff to his coffin (under Gerard's influence of course) and Barnabas forgave her.
FAVORITE VILLAIN:

Nicholas Blair was such campy fun.  .why folks think Grayson was the ultimate campster on the show defies me. .HE was the ultimate campster.

Well. Now there's a topic to discuss, lol. It would certainly explain why there was never any scene with Elizabeth delicately (or not so delicately) asking just when Julia was going to giving up her run as the Woman Who Came to Dinner ;)

 ALL-TIME FAVORITE DS MOMENT:
So many to choose from, I would have to go with Angelique
as a vampire and finally getting her fangs into Barnabas.
Some of the best Angelique/Barnabas moments came out of that.
________________________________________________________________________________________
FAVORITE OH, YUCK, THAT WAS AWFUL, BUT CAN I SEE IT AGAIN MOMENT:
Whenever Jason was charming, then threatening (or visa versa) Elizabeth, he really made my skin crawl when he was doing that, yet was so fascinating to watch, I couldn't take my eyes away.
________________________________________________________________________________________
FAVORITE GHOST:
From the evil ghosts, Quentin, he was so spooky he scared me to death as a child! Even now I find he is still quite menacing. From the nice ghosts, Sarah as she was always willing to help and protect Maggie and David from the clutches of big brother Barnabas.
________________________________________________________________________________________
FAVORITE I DIDN'T LIKE THEM AT FIRST, BUT THEN THEY GREW ON ME CHARACTER:
Willie Loomis. He was such a creep at first, but once Barnabas got a hold of him, he became more sympathetic and more likable.  So in a weird, twisted way, his releasing Barnabas from the coffin just may have been the best thing that ever happened to him.
________________________________________________________________________________________
BEST CLUELESS IN COLLINWOOD CHARACTER:
Roger gets my vote on this one. He constantly scuffs at the supernatural time and time again, despite the fact
just about all of the time it's proved there are many weird things going on in the house or around the estate.
________________________________________________________________________________________
FAVORITE SCENE STEALER:
Nicholas Blair (I always looked forward to an episode with him because you just know he's got something up his sleeve)
________________________________________________________________________________________
FAVORITE STORYLINE OR PLOT:
Any of the time-travelling segas. The Quentin/Beth ghosts, Angelique as a vampire, and the werewolf story are all worthy runner-ups.
________________________________________________________________________________________
WORST STORYLINE:
This one is easy for me....the one storyline on DS I could not get into no matter how hard I tried, the 1970 Parallel Time storyline.
________________________________________________________________________________________
FAVORITE ROMANCE OR ROMANTIC MOMENT:
Daphne running into Quentin's arms after
escaping from Gabriel when he kidnapped her, Leticia and Desmond's "wedding" in his jail cell, Vicki and Peter's farewell in her cell before she's taken to the gallows.
Sorry I just couldn't narrow it to one!
________________________________________________________________________________________
FAVORITE VILLIAN:
All of the male Trasks....I hated all of them with a passion but they were all played so brilliantly by Jerry Lacy
________________________________________________________________________________________
WORST COUPLE:
Toss-up between Quentin and Amanda and 1970 PT Quentin and Maggie. I also wasn't crazy about Barnabas falling head over hills in love with Roxanne at first sight.
________________________________________________________________________________________
I WISH THEY HAD GOT TOGETHER BUT DIDN'T COUPLE:
Barnabas and Julia. (Though I know Sam Hall did write a story after the show ended that they did get together and marry...it would have been better if we could have seen this happen just before the show went off the air). They had such great chemistry together. Would have liked to have seen Carolyn and Tony and Maggie and Joe get back together too.
________________________________________________________________________________________
CHARACTER YOU WISH THEY HAD USED MORE:
Roger. As insufferable as he could be at times, he was also a blast to watch. After the 1795 saga, except for marrying Cassandra, I noticed he was missing in action a lot of the time and even more so during the Quentin haunting Collinwood and absent all the way through the Gerard/Daphne ghost story. Always enjoyed Louis Edmonds no matter who he was playing (though Joshua was my favorite of all his characters).
________________________________________________________________________________________
FAVORITE SUSPENSE:
When Charity
staked Barnabas
I was horrified. I couldn't believe my favorite character was truly gone forever. I spend the next few weeks wondering if I would be eventually proven wrong. (And thankfully I was).
________________________________________________________________________________________
THIS HAD ME ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING  MOMENT:
When Trask is talking with Nathan Forbes and Barnabas' voice is talking to him. Forbes can't hear the voice and Trask can and shouts and rambles on and Forbes is looking at Trask like he was thinking Trask has gone bonkers. That whole scene had me in stitches ;D Another moment is when Judith drags Edward out of the bad in the middle of the night to tell him she's moving into Grandmother's room. She tells him she can't resist making the most out of being the new mistress of the house and Edward tells her "you're doing splendidly sister! Just splendidly!" Too funny! ;D

FAVORITE DS BLOOPER:
When the window shade at Tate's studio falls off. One of the all-time great bloopers! ;D

ALL-TIME FAVORITE DS MOMENT:  In 1897, when
Angelique and Laura have had their big witchcraft battle, and you think that Laura has won, but then Angelique appears in Jamison's room
FAVORITE I DIDN'T LIKE THEM AT FIRST, BUT THEN THEY
GREW ON ME CHARACTER:  Carl Collins.  Really couldn't stand him at first, but by the end he was tolerable.  Maybe even sympathetic.
BEST CLUELESS IN COLLINWOOD CHARACTER:  Joan Bennet's various characters could sure ignore what was obviously going on at Collinwood, even though everyone else knew.
FAVORITE SCENE STEALER:  Willie.
FAVORITE STORYLINE OR PLOT:  The first half of 1795.  I loved all of Angelique's scheming.
WORST STORYLINE:  Quentin huanting Collinwood.  I just cannot stand those kids screaming all their lines for about 20 straight episodes.
FAVORITE ROMANCE OR ROMANTIC MOMENT:  Wasn't there a bit of romance between Barnabas and Roxanne Drew?  I haven't seen those episodes in years, but I remember I though they'de make a fantastic couple.
FAVORITE VILLAIN:  Nicolas Blair.  So stylishly evil.
WORST COUPLE:  Vicki and Jeff Clark.  I kept thinking Julia should drag Vicki off and put her in the sanitarium.
FAVORITE COUPLE:  I loved Nathan and Suki Forbes.  He was such a rat, and she was his perfect foil.
CHARACTER YOU WISH THEY HAD USED MORE:  Suki Forbes.  I thought she was vivacious, smart, sneaky, and just a whole lot of fun to watch.
FAVORITE SUSPENSE:  In 1897, the battle between Angelique and Laura.
THIS HAD ME ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING MOMENT:  When Carl is all up in arms over the loss of his beloved Pansy, and Judith tells him to quit his prattling.
FAVORITE DS BLOOPER:  When Adam is trying to pick up an unconscious Carolyn in front of the old house.  He's supposed to be super-strong, but he grabs her about five or six different ways and just can't seem to get her off the ground.
