LOL!! You got that right!  I don't think these people ever heard of the word "Thanksgiving"  It seems like "New Years Eve" should be their "official" Holiday.;-)

does anyone remember the scene where Lieutenant Forbes brings a plate of food to the hidden out Vicki at the under construction Collinwood ??  she she makes the remark or something like "I am famished" and proceeds to maybe eat a crumb or 2 as they talk. That is not exactly how i eat when famished  :@)  ...Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Connie, this is brilliant!  I'd like to share what popped into my depraved excuse for a brain when I looked at that image in the upper right hand corner of Quentin with mouth open and snifter ... somehow, I always knew that Q had to have his little drinkie, at EVERY moment of the day!!!!  he does look VERY relaxed in that shot (though if memory serves, that was one of those shows where the poor man was justifiably knackered after a long day chasing after the Hand of Count Petofi, or some other bogey).

I do think the nice scene from ca. Jan. 1967 of the family around the table (one of the last times they used the breakfast nook set?) would make a lovely centerpiece to a Thanksgiving montage.

But in all honesty, I'd rather look at Willie Loomis.  Though I can live without the bit of dismembered dead bird he's holding.

Great shot of Will, too.  I do love William H. Loomis, alcoholic scribbler.

Hi Steve...

Gotcha!  That's not Will Loomis.  It's a shot of Karlen in the movie Daughters of Darkness.
What can I say?  I cheated.  Had to use what I could come up with.  LOL  ::)
(Stopped short of using pictures of Selby eating chicken in The Girl In Blue).  A bit of a stretch...don't ya think??

That's not cheating; it's merely a little artistic license. You're entitled. ;)

The vampires were shown having little snacks now and again....

Do they even celebrate holidays on DS?

It's probably got to do with yet another family curse!

Nice Job Connie!

i seem to remember a certain sandwich with extra mustard during a discussion between Burke and the Sheriff - and don't forget the Good Professor's love affair with cheeze [and herbs of course!]

Happy Holly Daze to everyone!

Cheers,
Ringo [jester]

I think it's time for a 'little snack' myself! [evily]

and TLATKLS  is always yummy!

The Holidays were always celebrated in Collinwood, although being a family secret... all holidays are celebrated in true Collins fashion, everyone meets in the drawing room, is greeted with the proper festive welcome, "Happy Thanksgivng" or "Merry Christmas" they share a toast... ;)
  All Celebrations are regarded thus...
It is a Collins Family tradition.

WISHING YOU ALL A VERY WARM AND FESTIVE
                     HAPPY THANKSGIVNG

I have never seen them celebrate any holiday on DS, which is a shame because I think it would have been nice to see some kind of family traditions shown around a holiday. But then again, they were lucky if they had "normal" Weddings & Funerals!!"

Actually.....since we have all this extra time on our hands....maybe we could prevail on you to do a montage of NON-DS work by our favorite people? Sounds delicious to me!

How do you capture the shots anyway? Is it with TIVO?

What is TIVO??

I have a graphics card that will do video stream captures and stills.  I just hook up a VCR to the computer.

Wish I could do a montage of non-DS work by the actors, but I don't have any sort of collection.  Aside from Frid's Seizure and Karlen's Daughters of Darkness, all I have are Selby films.
(Not very well-rounded....am I!)

This was a great food montage, Connie!  They did more eating, or pretended to, at least, in the earlier eps of the show.  After that, I guess Curtis didn't want to spring for real food.  As it is, he probably stole that chicken leg with which Willie tortured Adam from somebody's lunch box that day!

Thanks again for the belly laughs--but my coconut custard pie is sitting uneasily in my stomach after all that laughing!

Love, Robin

Great job!

Quentin loose as a goose? Hey, I'd be THANKFUL!  ;)

There's one food scene in DS that sticks out in my mind, and that's the one with Sandor eating soup. It is dripping from his moustache and I want to hand him a napkin. Bleah.  "Kiss me baby." "Uh... no thanks."

There is a follow-up scene after he's taken the food to Vicki, hiding out at the unfinished new house, and we see her eating what appears to be a sandwich (or fake eating, as the case may be).

There are a few scenes in the very early b/w episodes set in the kitchen around breakfast time. There was also a dinner scene with Laura, Roger, David and Elizabeth.

Let's not forget Mrs. Johnson telling Maggie exactly how to make her sandwich at the coffee shop! And those dinner meetings between Burke, Carolyn, Vicki and Frank at the restaurant in Bangor.

It would seem that people stopped eating shortly after Barnabas arrived. Hmmmm . . . coincidence?

And in the Daphne-Gerard haunting storyline, Maggie takes the children on a picnic in the woods. However, although you see a canteen, I don't recall seeing any food.

What is TIVO??
It is a recording device that doesn't use tape, I forget what it DOES use. It is more of a computer, that was why I thought it might do that. It tracks what you like to watch and will record similar programs, if you tell it to. Supposed to be pretty nice, they are still rather pricy.
