Title: DS Mentioned in New Fiction
Post by: Patti Feinberg on November 23, 2002, 04:01:12 AM
In the book, "Split Second" by authoress Alex Kava, published by MIRA Books, Ontario, Canada, 2001:

"Perfect", Tully whispered to no one in particular. "Isn't it bad enough that this place already looks like something out of Dark Shadows?"
Dark Shadows?? O"Dell whispered back.
"Yeah, the old TV show." He glanced at her, only now she had a blank look on her face. "You know, with Barnabus Collins and The Hand?" There was still no glint of recognition. "Forget it. You're too young."
"Doesn't sound like I missed much."
"Hey, watch it. Dark Shadows was a classic."

HOORAY!!!
This I believe is Alex Kava's 3rd book; female FBI profiler-type stuff.....

I'll try to find her on-line and thank her for all of us

Too bad she couldn't spell Barnabas correctly :( but still always good to know that the show's in the popular culture.

The editor obviously wasn't a Dark Shadows fan otherwise he/she would have caught that mistake.
