Does anyone know if the Fest banquet is sold out?? If not, then maybe attendees are sending a message that 80 dollars is an outrageous fee for such an event, almost three times the registration fee of the Fest itself!!

There should be tiered pricing. Those who get to sit at a star's table get a bargain. Those who sit in the back hardly get their money's worth. I usually go becuase I figure that I've flown the length of half a continent, I might as well get the full experience. Usually Marie and Donna make the rounds. There should be some sort of equitable pricing.

I don't do them anymore. The last one was about 4-5 years ago and I got my vegetarian dinner right about the time everyone else got dessert.
God bless Marie Wallace for going around to every single table to say hello. She is one class act!

I with you could get Steak instead of Chicken.

Hope everyone has a great time. Enjoy !

Now, there's a recommendation! [ghost_grin]
I've attended many Fests, but the only banquet I've ever gone to was the one in '05. The food wasn't spectacular - but it wasn't bad. And back then I think we paid something like $50. $80 is a lot more. But then, back in '05 we didn't receive "a personally-autographed photo of Barnabas and cast signed by Jonathan Frid and an exclusive DS commemorative gift bag with unique DS collectibles, including an exclusive DS 45th Anniversary DVD not available anywhere else" - all I recall getting as a "commemorative gift" was an MPI DS coin purse. Not exactly one of my most treasured DS possessions. [ghost_wink]

a coin purse?
you're lucky you didn't get a pair of underpants or the 1997 christmas ornament. [ghost_wink]

No kidding! [ghost_grin]
By comparison, I think the people who went to the banquet this year made out quite well.

Did anyone on the Forum attend the banquet? I'm curious to know what was on that DVD...

Please nobody tell me that Pierson screened Grayson's Playtex commercial at that stupid Banquet.
If they do, I make have to Take Steps. Don't make me Take Steps, Mr. Shannon! *gritted teeth*

Gothic to Jim Pierson, upon learning that Grayson Hall's Playtex commercial was screened at the banquet: "Oh, you BEAST! You BEAST!"
