Title: Quentin is a bounder, a rake......
Post by: RingoCollins on November 12, 2002, 07:32:42 PM
a leaf blower, a seed spreader, a hedge trimmer, a post hole digger, a mulcher......[how do they get away with all these euphamisims???]

fave moment of the shows today:  Close up of Rachel's eyes! [thank you director!]

I'm loving everything about Carl - the hair, the accent, the freak out!

didn't Liz flip flop on her theory of who killed Quentin? [played today by Rod Argent]

The dream sequence should have had Alf in it: 'What do you think of this shirt' - toooooo loud!

item #3156 on the list of things I can't stand about David/Jameson/Brat:  his THREE different pronunciations of the Q-man's name - Qwe-eh [no 'n', no 't', like the New England: 'didn't' = 'de- eh'.....], Quen-tin [fairly normal], and Quint-ton [with two 't's', like the media pronounces Clint-ton when they were mad at him]  [and things I miss about the old, old board: the topic of 'Connect the Dots On David's Face' - and I didn't even originate it!!]

Theme music for todays show:
   She's Not There
   Tell Her No
   Time Of The Season

and TLATKLS was in most scenes - in a nightie!!
~~~~~
I'm FINALLY  caught up on tapes, only missed about 3 days -  [and most posts]
cheers,
Ringo [jester]
......with apologies to the New Englanders, who may now begin poking at the Sowthern Draawl.
Could you actually SEE TLATKLS beautiful eyes underneath all that Mary Quant make-up? :P
Isn't JK just an incredible actor?  With just a bit more stammer in his voice, he could've replaced Derek Jacobi in "I, Claudius".....the hair is right....all he needs is a toga! [lghy]
It's SOOOO good to see you posting Ringo....you've been sorely missed! :-*
I loved it when Carl thought he saw Quentin's body move, he screamed like Homer Simpson!
Proof positive that all Collins men--except Quentin--carries in his DNA a histrionic fop gene...
LOL!! I loved Carl today, but also cracked up at his scream. I'm trying, REALLY trying to come up with another Collins to contradict your theory, but dang, I just can't.... [hdscrt]
Hey, take it easy on the southern accents, folks.  :)
I have a North Carolina accent (thanksto my parents) even though I'm from Virginia, and I wouldn't want to talk any other way.  Although when I moved to good ole western MA I could have gotten rich real quick if I had a nickle for everytime someone noticed I'm not from around here. lol
Just because it takes me five minutes to say one word doesn't mean it's a bad thing ;)
New England accent, wait a minute I have to get a drink out of the bubbler and grab a bite out of my grinder.  Maybe I will have a sip of tonic.lol
Hey, it isn't so bad having a N.E. accent, once while talking someone told me I have a accent from a certian part of the city I grow up in.
Welcome back Ringo!
That's so funny, jennifer!
Don't know if you heard since it's local news, but L.A.'s new police chief (William Bratton) comes to us from Boston by way of New York.  After a press conference announcing his appointment, I couldn't help but giggle with Raineypark over his accent, which is Bostonian with a little New Yahk, er, New York thrown in.  He had even joked about it, saying he hoped we'd be able to understand him because he forgot to bring his interpreter along.  Anyway, not a minute goes by after saying that when he tells how pleased he is to be speaking from, get this, Pahkah Centah.  I'm so not used to hearing Parker Center said that way that I thought I'd fall over laughing.
Yes, I'm easily entertained.  :D  But the accent is cute, and the LAPD badly needed some fresh leadership.
Many people have told me I have a Minnesota accent, yet I have oddly never even been to Minnesota.
i did hear that Midnite,as well as the mayor of NY is from Boston
we as well as NY have different forms of the Boston
accent depending on how close to the city you are! always hated the Boston accent on Cheers they didn't get it right but the worst i've heard is Ken Howard on Crossing Jordan!!it is funny when i travel down south i'm always asked "are you from NY or Boston?' tI've been told that they can't tell the difference!mine is pretty bad as I grew up in a town about 5-6 miles from the city. wonder where it started!
