Robservations #19

Before episode, announcer practices a "Vanish" toilet cleaner commercial voiceover he must have to record later, then he realizes he's on.
Liz looks nice in the robe. If she were working at her age today, she'd probably have been a tight plastic mannequin face for ten years, at this point in her career.... and we wouldn't have gotten this "worried" acting from her.

Gee, someone on Twitter seems to be watching the same eps as we are:

Dark Shadows marathon! Episode 19. Carolyn. She just can't understand why her boyfriend is upset that she's obsessed... http://bit.ly/qtdfmn

Joe was wearing a light-colored raincoat when he picked Carolyn up earlier. Now he is carrying a dark-colored one. No wonder he's upset.
I have always thought JB looked beautiful in these episodes--a perfect example of an older woman aging far more gracefully on screen than we are used to seeing today.

Yes Liz was making sure that everyone was accounted for. You really wonder how things might have been in Collinsport before Burke got there.
It would think that someone might say Oh, some excitment. Carolyn is sure taking advenge of it.
Joe is so nice to stand up for Carolyn.
I didn't notice the raincoat, good catch.

Thanks!

The sound of the foghorn in the background is a nice touch. I keep thinking couldn't they spare some Blue Whale customers to populate the diner.
So Roger was a witness against Burke and he swore revenge on Roger and the Collins family.

The voiceover said Elizabeth never left the grounds, a switch from the previous statements that she never left the house. Maybe Elizabeth's going to go out for a walk.
Apparently there's a short-order cook or two in the coffeeshop, whom we never see. Does Maggie flirt with them? And she wants to open a place of her own. Where's the money going to come from?
-
in hindsight i always find the simplicity of maggie's life remarkable in these episodes considering what happens to her...and where she ultimately ends up...in later years.

In the first 10 or so eps, characters (Carolyn, Bill, Vicki) said she hadn't been off the hill, which implies she has been in the gardens, to the cottage, the carriage house, the stables, etc.
Since Bill was on the phone in the Inn and telling Liz about going "back to the bar," referring to the Blue Whale, do you still think the Inn has its own bar?
-
Midnite, I cannot answer the question as you phrased it. If you asked, "Do you think the Inn still has its own bar?" my answer would be, "Probably not, but it may come back."

Uhhh, okay. [ghost_smiley]
