Title: Jenny's Song
Post by: Cassandra on November 07, 2002, 10:05:54 AM
What did everyone think of Crazy Jenny's singing voice in yesterday's episode?  I thought she sounded rather nice & carried the tune pretty good too.  I wonder if Marie Wallace ever took up any singing?  She certainly had a lovely voice for it.

I have always enjoyed the episodes in which Jenny sings.

On Marie Wallace's website, she says that she appeared in Gypsy, which is a musical.  Doesn't say if she had a singing role or not.

She has the voice for it though.

Would you happen to have the link for this?  I'd like to check it out,   thanks!

Her voice sounded to me like a Contralto. You can tell that she has a good, deep & rich tone to voice.  Im trying to remember if she sings more on the show?

I know there's another "famous" singer who will be showing up soon, but I won't spoil it and give it away!  That one is a hoot!!

Well, I like her singing, myself.  There is something so unbearably poignant about these scenes.  Jenny and her babies ...

The character was supposed to have had something of a career as an entertainer before a certain dark eyed stranger walked fatally into her life, and I'm glad that Marie made Jenny's backstory so believable in this respect.

Cassandra,

About Jenny & Edward,
There is a good reason for Jenny to want to burn Edward which is revealed later and it still has to do with the "babies."

LOL!!  I don't think there's anything wrong with her singing!  I mean, I don't care for the low voice, but she seems like a good singer.  Actually, she's such a big woman, you'd sort of expect a low voice.  Ya know, I just can't see her with Quentin.  She seems too...I dunno...BIG for him, lol.  I mean, he's taller, but she seems broader and heavier somehow.  Yeah, I know - it's not too difficult to be heavier than Quentin (that skinny boy) lol.  Yum Yum!!!!!
Uh Oh...I'm sounding more and more like Annie!
I gotta stop reading this board so much!
