This is just a friendly reminder for everyone that when you're making a joke, can you please make it obvious that it's a joke? Readers don't have the benefit of seeing how you look when you're saying it, and unless you're Jerry Seinfeld it's not a good idea to assume that everyone will know it's a joke simply because you're the author. We've had some problems on the boards that began as simple misunderstandings.
Also, consider feelings and reputations before you click "Post". Nobody likes to have their messages removed, and the mods would prefer to never have to remove any.
And now that I've said this, please don't make me eat my words by going overboard, LOL.

I understand completely... I would also like to thank you Midnite, and MB for all you do...
I enjoy posting as well as reading posts from everyone here, I hope to continue celebrating each episode of Dark Shadows with friends I have met and will some day meet.
Believe it or not... This is a marvelous Group!! :D

I've said it before, Midnite, and I know I'll say it again ...
You and the Mysterious Benefactor deserve platinum medals (gold just ain't classy enough, lol) for all you both do in this blessed corner of cyberspace!
Love, Steve

That is one reason I enjoy this board so much, because you guys stop things before they get out of control..other messages boards sometimes can have so many messages that have nothing to do with topic!!
thanks again!

Many thanks goes to MIdnite and MB for all their
hard work . You guys are terrific in protecting what
is right and wrong. This board is a wonderful place
to be . ( RIGHT EVERYONE ??? BECAUSE THEY PUT

I must concur that this is the nicest of the DS boards! One board, who shall remain nameless, seems to attract the nastiest, meanest fans. The moderator does his or her best to keep the peace but it is usually hopeless. We have great moderators here who in all honesty do a fantastic job of keeping the peace. Thank you!

I agree 100%!
Many kudos to MB and Midnite [aprvy]

As a token of our collective appreciation for all Midnite and MB do on this forum, may I suggest we all chip in and send them on a little side trip to Coney Island next August, seeing how we're all going to be in Brooklyn anyway?
After years of keeping THIS Cyber-Circus in line, an amusement park seems just the right place for them. [lghy]
Oh, and a gift certificate for a couple of hot dogs, too.

Well said Jon. These two deserve a medal for all they do!!
I've seen things happen on other boards where there is World War 3 breaking out and the Moderator does nothing to stop this until it is way too late. These things just shouldn't be allowed on the boards anyway. We're here to discuss Dark Shadows not join in a boxing match. ;-)
I like the fact that they put a stop to any fighting before it gets out of hand. We're all adults here and should act accordingly. ;-)

Thanks, guys. And Raineypark, you're too funny. Ah, Brooklyn-- birthplace of hot dogs AND the Dodgers, woo! BTW, how come NY hot dogs taste so good? Unless it's something I don't want to know...

I once worked with a strict Vegetarian who always carried in her wallet the ingredient list from a particular brand of hot dogs (don't remember which).

I like my cow lips with brown mustard and sauerkraut.

One of the best things about this board is that the OT's are often just as interesting as the posts about DS! I was genuinely caught up in a topic about which I was clueless. Yet I kept reading and reading, wondering if a clue would surface. No such luck.
This has been quite an intriguing mystery!

A Few months ago I nearly fainted when after years of eating my favorite breakfast meat (hush, Midnite!), I read the ingredients on a package of Mexican chorizo. The two that stick out most in my memory are lymph nodes and salivary glands. The remainder of that package still lies "chained" buried deep within the confines of our freezer. We think of it as "the secret".

Ick! Well, at least it IS cow and not some other four-footed animal such as cat or dog.
I don't mean to sound too bizarre here, but maybe we can think of it as beeing sMOOched by a cow! He, he!! [crazy]

I'd love to ask this man, "Have you ever had teenaged children?" [lghy]
BTW....I've got "The Twilight Zone" on Sci Fi in the background, and who's voice do I hear? Why none other than Roger Davis, who, when I go to look, is man-handling his female co-star pretty roughly. What IS the problem with this guy, and why didn't anyone ever deck him for it? [hdscrt]
