Whoa! The banquet is 80 bucks per person?

All you can eat lobsters! I've been wanting to try this place out for sometime, but haven't had the gumption to shell out 82 bucks. Now that I've seen what the Fest banquet is costing, I may just do that.

I got my Fest packet today, too, it looks like there are more secondary stars going to this one, though the opportunity to see JF and David Selby and doing a performance together is what is drawing me to this Fest, though it WOULD be on Sunday afternoon when my family members have play tickets in the city, well, we will work it out....it really is incredible that the banquet is 80 dollars. definitely NOT worth it--if you don't have Jonathan's autograph, you can get if from his website on a photo there or one of your choice that you send in for about 25.00. I did that and it was well worth it...

I sent mine in today sans the banquet. With so many great restaurants in the general area I would rather spend $40 on a decent meal and the other $40 shopping. I'm sure it will be fun for all regardless if you go to the banquet or not. I think it's good to do it at least once.

i received the form yesterday.
frankly i really can't see how much bobbi ann woronko can contribute as a guest. she appeared in a single episode over forty years ago. i doubt she recalls much at all.
something feels slightly bittersweet about this year's fest. it's likely the last one before the movie is released and, assuming it's going to be the hit depp's movie's generally are, the DS world expands exponentially. our little DS cocoon is about to change radically.
i really don't know what it all means. will future fests focus on the movie and it's fans? will it's stars and perhaps even depp be in attendance? will attendance explode? will the original series get pushed into the margins. i'm really not into a "star trek" like circus with thousands of attendees.

For $80 they should give us the opportunity to order steak instead of chicken. But i am sure it's just the same old chicken for all.

Well, there are some Fest attendees that get excited about everything Dark Shadows, so Ms. Woronko may find some fans, or at least the emcees will try to drum up some interests--but I did love the Fest clip of one Conrad Bain attended where he said, well, thanks for the welcome, but I was only in a few shows so I am not sure why I am here...LOL!!

As an original viewer who discovered DS in 1967, I'm trying hard not to think how long it's been since the show began, because I'm 10 years older than that!

Hi all...
I got my registration info in the mail a couple of days ago but saw nothing concerning a code for the hotel discount. Does that mean that we can only conduct biz on the phone? I was trying to put some figures together and was just curious as to what that discount is going to be. Does anyone know?

Reservations have to be made over the phone, but the hotel is sold out of rooms at the Festival rate, as well as rooms at the AAA rate.

Unlike last year in Burbank where it was less. The AAA rate is quite a bit more then the festival rate in Brooklyn around $200 if i remember correctly.
