On October 30th and Halloween, there will be no "Dark Shadows" on SCIFI because of some marathons :'(
-
The one show on Sci-Fi that fits the holiday and they pre-empt it.[vryangy]

I can't believe it! [crazd] How screwy is this?
They ought to be showing extra DS on those days!

Exactly! Why can't they show a marathon of DS? They could use the scariest moments or something like that. Of all the days you would think they would keep the show on for Halloween!
Halloween isn't even a legal Holiday so it seems that the Sci-Fi station loves to cancel the show for just about anything!:-(

I want my DS PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They should give
us extra days to show DS as a bonus RIGHT GANG??

Why couldn't they pre-empt DS for a showing of both DS movies? Wouldn't that have been more appropriate? I will never understand these people and their decisions about DS. It makes me wonder if they are going to show it again--or even finish this showing all the way to the end.
No respect!
Love, Robin

I agree Robin! Having a double feature of the DS movies
would have been a smart way to go.

Thank God for MPI video tapes!

time of the year for movies, Mystery Ch, Usa etc
are running marathons I can live with it if they are showing something good!

My daughter and I were watching Monsterfest on AMC, they were showing some of the "Halloween" horror movies.

Your daughter must have nerves of steel, Cheryl. I can barely sit through these new generation slasher films without frequent trips out of the room, head-turns away from the TV, squinting, or holding my hand over my eyes!
Sissy Dom
P.S. Glad your surgery went well.

Thanks Dom! My daughter watches scary movies with no problem. We are just checking out different channels for scary movies. "The Blair Witch Project" is coming on in a few minutes, never saw that one, but I also want to see MTV's The Real World, it was filmed in Las Vegas. I want to see what those kids did while they were here. Nothing I would do I'm sure!

I totally agree with you Robin. It is the major holiday for us and what two movies would be more appropriate than NoDS and HoDS. I feel a write in campaign for next year starting.... anyone

Oh, now RobinV, don't be too hard on them [crazy] . After all, rumor has it the only people they have on their programming staff is this sappy guy and a couple of wisecracking robots made out of old bubble gum machines and kitchen appliances. Or was that a trio of chimps named Curly, Mo and Larry? (Works either way when you think of certain less-than-stellar holiday programming decisions, doesn't it? [nuts] )
Removing DS from the Halloween lineup is kind of like someone deciding not to serve food in celebration of Thanksgiving. DUUUUH! [silly]

I'm sorry but this is just plain stupid. I can understand why the Sci Fi channel wants to air special marathon programming on holidays to attract viewers who are off work or out of school (I don't like it, but at least I understand it) - but as Cassandra has already pointed out, this is not a holiday where people get off work or out of school. And of all days out of the year when Dark Shadows should be shown, it's gotta be Halloween! And pre-empting it THE DAY BEFORE? What in the heck are they thinking??? I'm going to have to fire off an e-mail to the programmers.
